Well done on leaving the card behind and avoiding the evil temptress of new credit cards! Big pat on the back love

The way you think sounds scary similar to me. Want to get the house done so you feel comfy but then feel bad spending money and just want to debts gone. It's like a roller coaster ride all the time, so you have my sympathy.
Good luck with the diet! I've got a mighty 4 stone to lose and just can't seem to get the momentum up to stick to anything ... Lazy !!!!!! that I am!
Anyhoo hope you manage a great nights sleep tonight and wake up feeling fresh as a daisy!

Ah thanks F0nz. Yeah it's a difficult one the old house thing, it makes me feel a lot better when I do get house things, mostly because it's all about completing something, but then as you say the guilt creeps in, and then you put a picture of the lounge on your computer at work to inspire you throughout the day, and some nosey devil comes along, critiquing my choice of shelving-Thrifty is a feisty one, and a very private person at that, so double whammy with being nosey and then giving their opinion, as If I needed their validation. Anywho, rant over.
F0nz the diet thing will have to happen slowly-I'm avoiding the Wii Fit because of it's sarcastic comments about me going AWOL for the last 9 days-yes you found me out, I've been guzzling chocolate and wine and various other beige salty food. I've a couple of stone to lose, we'll get there.
Hoping there may be many Z's tonight, I've had camomile tea, and herbal sleepy things, so here's hoping
I've just squished my first two moths this evening, which means that the moth swatting Olympics have begun. These were baby ones which means they are hatching inside the house, which means I need to spring clean. You really have to wonder what the point of some creatures is? Slugs-they're slimy and they eat all your plants, Wasps-not fluffy like bumble bees and they have an attitude problem, moths-sneaky little critters like to hide where you can't get at them, and then eat your clothes.
I promise to be less grumpy tomorrow when I've caught up on the Z's

Had a good 7 hours sleep which is nice and I could have had some more but decided to do some uni work so I can sit and watch trash tv tonight
I'm having a rant outburst, just warnin' yah. I've also realised it's pre-lady time hence all that 'everything is grey' blathering above, I've now moved into the highly irritable, don't mess with Thrifty phase
I've felt a lot more comfortable in my own skin this week as I become more confident with my own tastes and knowing who I am.
This comes in response to the fact that two people now thought that it was quite ok to pass judgement upon me, and while it has annoyed me that people have done this (otherwise I wouldn't mention it and I recognise it has clearly hit a nerve and again apologies dear reader, I have to vent here, OH would just roll his eyes and put it down to my being a woman), I've decided that I'm not really interested in keeping their company so I'm quite glad I didn't get their approval. The other judgement came in the form of being told by OHs friend that at their party OHs friend's sister thought I was the funniest person at her party, I found this slightly odd as we hadn't even spoken to this person. This was however because I wore my wellies to a very informal do-now these are not your standard run of the mill wellies, they were some rather lovely blue Hunter ones that I think work quite well with a floral dress, and don't need to be reserved for rainy days (I wore them with jeans and a long white shirt by the way), they can be worn on cold ones too. It was funny because I said I wore them because I hadn't any other flat shoes, ah so I was funny in that I was entertaining as a source to be mocked because I dared to do something different. Now people seem to have a problem with different, they label you eccentric and so on, but seriously, it's some wellies, if that blows their minds, I'm glad to be different. I know this all sounds very paranoid and silly, but I am really astounded about how much attention these boots grab, firstly woah, you're wearing wellies, that's like crazy and secondly they're blue. Jeez.
Actually I lie I have had one person just say 'nice wellies', no judgement nothing-excellent.
So just to shove two fingers up to the world I'm going to wear them today
