A busy day today, viewed a house for auction that my mum might have bought...ummmm we'll leave it where it is I think. Lovely plot, pretty cottage but needed new rendering, complete garden refurb, new interior walls and ceilings, central heating, new electrics, kitchens and plumbing, a really difficult one and definitely a money pit, there will be another one :)
Made beef stew with stewing steak and garlic, all cut up small and left in slow cooker till tea time, then poured over mash potato, DS's favourite meal, even wanted bread to mop the gravy :)

Quick chocolate microwave cake for afters with some tesco value chocolate spread on put on top, went down well.

I had baked potato and beans covered in pepper and brown sauce, day two of diet and day one of going to the gym!! 15 mins of tread mill, very brisk walk, 15 mins of spinning, 10 mins on cross trainer (weird or what?) followed by another 15 mins on tread mill. Safe to say I broke out in a sweat :). Anyway definitely worked off more calories than if I'd stayed at home, only downside is I need to make sure the exercise doesn't make my neck play up, and of course the money :(. £29.99 a month for 3 months, or until I go on holiday he he. If I like it, and today I did, then a 12 month membership is £19.99 a month :). Weight today is 11 stone 1 :)

Me and DH have been married 23 years tomorrow :). We are going out for the day, we are going to be frugal and have a walk and a picnic. We've had some pretty testing things happen during the 23 years which we've had to cope with but we have both stuck together and are still very much in love...awww :)

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend x

Horses mucked out, fed and turned out, all in yesterday due to the weather, so they are much happier today :)

DH down the fields putting a new fence up, well digging holes today, so the top area will be fenced creating a new paddock, yay :)

Two loads of washing done and out, 3rd in. Freezer re defrosted again, flipping milk had expanded overnight and forced the door open so it had iced up considerably overnight. Blackberries out defrosting, have strict instructions to make DH a blackberry tart :). Chicken also out defrosting, trying my hand at sweet and sour chicken balls tonight :)

Gym today, 3.5 km walked with a tiny bit of jogging, 600m rowed, bit of cycling, little bit if weights and 10 mins on cross trainer, really enjoying it so far.

Lunch with the girls, I'd forgotten so when they rung I was not planning on going but then thought..why not? They are going to try the gym next Monday so that's good :)

The bigger contract might finish in august but the amount of messing around with cancelling and restarting is absolutely ridiculous and not beneficial to anyone, so other than the money side the best idea would be to cancel now, either way each week it continues it's money and probably only till august even if I decide to extend in July.....complicated!

Very high winds here tonight, decided against taking the lorry out so cancelled training, very disappointing as the trainer was great but can't risk life and limb both of ourselves and our beloved horses <3

Bought a new battery for my scales today so might get an accurate weight tomorrow....eeekk lol!

    Have a lovely evening x

Well done on the exercise! My running is finally starting again tonight, now that I'm feeling up to it after this cold. Good call on the wagon, I wouldn't want to go out in high winds either. Nothing is worth their and your lives.

Very complicated re contract - I hope you get it sorted :)

    Evening all :)
    A quick update:
The bigger contract came to an end the end of last month. I have against my financial interests today declared no more work of that sort for 6 months. My bank balance needs funds but I need my health. So after christmas I will consider doing it again.
My overdraught isnt great, at the moment is in credit but i have around £1500 to take out at the end of the month on regular bills :/
My mum almost bought a house this week but the surveys and subsequent expert reports have said large amounts of rising damp and the vendors dont want to drop the price....their choice :/ We'll have to wait and see... my mum is a godsend, her idea being that the rent will tide me over until I start up contracts again, thank goodness for her xx
Horses all ok, well actually very fat!!! Enormous, hippos, elephants what ever else you want to call them, but very very overweight. Tonight is the first night that it is warm enough for rugs off, shock horror it is June almost July??
Meal planning needs to happen again, sooner rather than later, and i need somesort out routine to help me out as stress is making me feel snowed under. This is what happens when I work too much, I need to work less when I am working and then I can do it for longer :)
We have been "lucky" enough to have some visits off rabbits which are currently laying flat out underneath our car on the drive, the cheeky chihuahua is bark bark bark bark bark constantly, arrggghhhhh!!!! They are coming most evenings, i need peace! lol!
Anyway hopefully by next week i will feel more at peace and able to organise myself, all credit cards are still on the downhill slope, so yay to that! Just this flipping overdraught to keep at, speak soon x

Rainy and chilly here this morning, hopefully it will clear up for later.
Chicken, pasta, toms, mushrooms in the slow cooker for tea, with a reduced price french stick (19p) which is cut up in the freezer.
Lovely chat to DH this morning, clearly now on my plans :)

Helloooo stranger - nice to see you back! You are right - your health must come first! You need to do what's right for you - it is a positive thing that you have learned to cut your cloth to size money wise and get by without having to take on more contract work until you're ready! Chunky horses sound lovely!!!
