Another Friday, another fiver! My lot break up for 7 weeks off today, so will have to try extra hard to make extra payments and stretch the budget!! Hope the weather improves so we can do lots of outdoor free stuff .

Morning everyone! Been busy moving house recently, so haven't been able to keep up with this challenge until now. Had a real sort out of the finances and am very excited to report an extra payment today of £9088.91 - yes £9K!!!! Made up from savings, tenant payments, refunds from utility suppliers, compensation from internet provider and left over cash-stash saved for the move.

Been missing in action too much spending during school hols (all the catch up lunches with fellow teachers I don't during term time) and saving holidays spends for trip away next week. Pay day today so paid a cautious £5 to CC but should be back with a bang once I'm back my holiday.

I'd like to join! I made an extra payment towards one debt this week already This is such a good idea. I will pay in extra payments on Mondays (Tuesday is pay day) Monday just gone I paid £109 (Birthday money from family plus what I had left over) This site is amazing,don't know how I managed without it. Will go edit my signature

And here I was feeling pleased :rotfl: ... £450 off my debts this week :A I finally lost patience with us ever getting rid of the overdraft on our grocery account by nibbling it down each month, so took some money out of savings and paid it off, and then reduced the overdraft limit down to £50 ... its about the fifth time in as many years we've done this, at least this time I've got the savings to clear it, rather than consolidating it on to a balance transfer card - fingers crossed that after managing our direct debit account in credit for 2 years, we're ready to keep the grocery account in the black as well!

Hello all
I'm back!
Difficult few months, first underpaid wages , then overpaid and had to repay, then DH has been erroneously deducted £400 tax twice in the last 2 months :O . Thankfully that should be back at end of July.
Made me realise I need to keep up with weekly overpays even if they are diddly to keep up the focus and momentum.
