  • Just made my extra payment for week 5 £13.63 bringing my total to £48.31. I'm so pleased with this total and can't believe how quickly this is adding up. I always overpay on my minimum payment anyway, so this total is on top of that and is going to help bring the total down even quicker :j.

    Great work Picklepot!

This weeks payment is a humble £1.66 bank skim to CC1. I'm making a big overpayment next week though and by this time next month that card should be cleared! Then on to CC2....keep going troops!

Well, late on my skim from yesterday, not at all well :(
£1.67 for me but at least it's £1.67 more than what I would have paid off previously. Slow and steady wins the race. Let's all crack on x

Hello all! Love this challenge, I like the feeling of nibbling away at the debts, and trying to find ways of getting a little bit extra to pay off!

£10 extra payment from me this week, that's my usual coffee shop spends in a week, successfully avoided all week :T

Expenses went on repaying the CC I paid the work expenses on, so nothing extra I can use there, but I should get payment from Amazon next week, plus another week of avoiding the coffee shop, to make it a bit bigger (fingers crossed)

    Have a good week everyone!

Thank you aphidgirl and scotmumof3 and all the support from fellow posters

Heading to crack the next credit card now:)
I love this thread! whether we can only pitch in a small amounts or not its all making the difference.
When I originally started to scrutinise my spends last year I made big in roads , cancelling skyee, changing mortgage provider, downshift challenge, cancelling not-worth-it insurances, changing utilities etc. but after that its harder to see where you can make the saves. That's why I love this thread, you concentrate on the small amounts and its soon builds up.

    Everyone is doing so well!!
