    Hello All

Today wasn't a NSD as 9th of Jan is not only my Birthday but my Mum's too. I did get a bargain though, Mum wanted Miranda Hart's Maracattack DVD, she mentioned that she wanted last Christmas, which was news to me. When I went online on Boxing Day it was £8, today it was £4.50 and with my student discount £4.25 plus I got her the maracas for £1.50 too so actually a good shop.

up to NSD #2 due to sheer laziness. Haven't been out of the house since last year! However we now need food, so will be off to the shops as soon as I can get the kids moving.

Back to work on Monday :(

    Hello :)

NSD number 3 for me today. Spent 50p at the shops today, but that was from change found around the house, as it's bonus money (didn't know I had it) I'm not counting it as a spend :)

Good morning to all you penny-pinchers and wallet watchers! :hello:

I hope that you all slept well, and have had a hearty breakfast.

No Igor, thank you but I really don't feel like having one of your ferret and pilchard chutney amuse-bouche doo-dahs just now.I don't care how dainty and 'melt in the mouth' it is.Maybe later... :(

I've updated the front page and have reached post #147.

I'll finish the update later on today, promise!

I know how keen we all are to be frugal in January.

This is a wee message for all the newbies nsders:

It can take a while to sort out your rules, and it's possible that you might have been too eager in choosing your target number. One way around this is to start with a lower target ie 5,and once you have hit that target,go up to 10 ,say.

This means that you're more likely to reach your target, and not get disheartened and (possibly) give up.Also you will get more prizes. :D

If anyone wants to downsize their target, just pm me.I don't mind at all changing some targets.

Please also check the front page from time to time, just to make sure that the numbers are right.

Oh,and does anyone fancy a ferret and pilchard chutney pastry thingy? :rotfl::rotfl:

    :hello:hi there all

Well so far 2015 has not been good and I have spent every day:eek:. I hadn't planned to spend today but I think my petrol light came on this morning- going to grab some as it's cheap at the minute anyway.

Can I put myself down for 16 for January please? I'm hoping to get maybe another couple in but just feel so disorganised at the minute.............hopefully that will improve as I get settled back into my routine :rotfl:All the being away has been lovely but it has made life feel very surreal so am hoping to get back to a shade of normality over the month.

See you all later, or failing that tomorrow night

And sorry it's late but Happy New Year to everyone

    :hello:

    Declaring NSD #2

Been out for milk, potatoes and baby sweetcorn (all allowed), and checked large (pint sized) mugs at a local store for possibly purchase later in the month - when I'm on a spend day. Also picked up 4 silicone chocolate moulding trays, but they're for OH and he'll pay me back when he arrives which means they don't count as a spend for me :)

Not sure whether to count today... Hubby got his hair cut this morning (only time he could get it done at the cheapest place around before work on Monday, and his job requires that his hair is cut so not a luxury) I had given him the money out of my weekly cash budget when I did my shopping on New Years day (and I also counted it on that budget on my signature too.)

    I'm torn 50/50
We have spent money today, but it was a budgeted for and money set aside out of the budget knowing that it had to be today. Gah.

I want another NSD *has tantrum* :rotfl:

    EDIT:
I like to keep my NSD target high, because I can be a bit of a waster and if I put 5 I'll coast along thinking I have loads of time to get my NSDs in. I work well under pressure. I think... :D haha!!
