Hi, I'm a little late to the party but would still like to join in, please
Aiming for 15 NSD in January - not ready to aim for so many in a row as I am totally disorganised at the best of times!
Spent nothing yesterday so I already have one day under my belt! Today a couple of Direct Debits have come out of the account so I will count today as a spend day and will pop out and get anything needed to tide us over to Monday. Doubt it will be little more than milk as the cupboards are heaving due to my overbuying of Christmas goodies and foodie gifts that we have received!:oJan NSD 4/15

Breakfast buffet is now being served in the Stuffyermush Cafe on deck 7 - and I am pleased to announce Igor and Swedish Chef have nothing to do with the catering as they are also on holiday with the rest of us.
Today we will call in at the Shetlands so we can all pick up a nice Shetland woolly jumper - we are going to need it as there is a cold weather front a-coming! For those who are not planning to go ashore there will be a gin rummy tournament in the saloon bar. No, Swedish Chef, that does not mean a competition to get as much gin and rum down your neck as possible. It's a card game.
And Hubert........I know I said about picking up a little woolly jumper, but I'll say this now......leave the sheep alone! One life - your life - live it!0 -
I need to join in, I haven't done it for the last couple of years but this is part of my New Years Resolution, along with Grocery Challenge, dieting, growing more etc etc. The new me is about to emerge.
Aiming for 15 NSD this January.
Not going to count DD's which are already set up, going to count the things I have to go out and buy plus personal items bought on the net.0 -
Good Morning.
NSD1 for me yesterday. I am working today and have fetched lunch with me, no intention of spending any money today. Will update later.
Have a good day all.0 -
Id really like to push myself for NSDs in 2015! Really need to be more focused on not frittering money away and getting my savings on track.
I think I should kick off with 8 NSDs for the month so will add that to my signature.

I'm claiming my 2nd NSD for today already. Reason being I'm still sick and ain't crossing the door
Well apart from going to the doctors later on.
I bought some Skechers last night off Sports Direct, but that's not counted as a spend day as hubby paid for them
Well he had tried to get me them for Christmas but they didn't have my size, so he said if I saw them in to get them. He ended up buying me 2 pairs lol as they were on sale:T A late Christmas present for me:p:DPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
I must literally be the only one without an NSD on January 1st...
Nope, I didn't get one either, thanks to sports wear shopping and a few beers up the pub in the evening (didn't go out NYE).Nargleblast wrote: »Breakfast buffet is now being served in the Stuffyermush Cafe on deck 7 - and I am pleased to announce Igor and Swedish Chef have nothing to do with the catering as they are also on holiday with the rest of us.

Light is hopefully at the end of the tunnel for our DFW journey this year, but then it's house funding and we're rather late to the game on this.
That's great kerri.:)LINKYPIE2009 wrote: »Having signed up for the NST challenge can my target for NSD's be changed to 18 please?

Have you given any thought to some allowed spends?A lot of us have them. For example petrol, milk, bread, budgeted spends, prescriptions etc.I also don't included all bills and DDs,public transport (travelcard),swimming (subscription).I mainly do this challenge because,at heart,I'm a hopeless impulse buyer.
Buying milk in your case today could be classed as an emergency spend...seriously.
Having some powdered milk in can be very useful.
And hubby's haircut...surely that's him spending,not you,so maybe it doesn't count after all?
Just a few ideas for you to ponder about ...0
