These will get rid of it if you leave a couple in overnight.

They have them in the pound shop a lot of the time
  • Using one of these? :)
  • When we moved into our house the toilet was disgusting, it was really badly stained, nothing worked until i found Multex Glaze Toilet Cleaner google it, its really cheap, less than £4 for a big 1L bottle. local "bits and bobs" "sell everything shops" may also sell it. (we have a local A2Z type shop that sells it)

This stuff is really strong stuff, it works well under the water line (no need to empty the loo of its water) - pour in, scrub with loo brush and leave a couple of times per day initially, repeat - leave in over night.

I use this stuff daily now (just a little bit on a night time before bed and leave it to do its stuff) I live in a house with 2 teenage boys and hubby- males are the worse and im the only female in the house and only one that actually cleans the loo!

I have also used Glaze to clean headstones of family members and i use it to clean the path and patio pavers (they come up like new) I dont know whats in the stuff, but it really does work, you can see it bubble on liimescale and the limescale just drops off.

Its important not to mix glaze with any other chemical/bleach - it dont mix well that is all i am saying.

It may be worth a try

Loo in my new house is terribly stained and I can't clean it, no cleaner I put in is making any difference.

I have tried scrubbing with Cif, and above the water line I've had some success. How can I empty the water out to try and scrub the very bottom?

    Thanks
I'm having trouble getting my mind around someone not being able to figure out how to empty a toilet bowl.
The use of a small container and a large sponge is so obvious that I wonder why you did not think of it yourself.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

We use lime lite Gel, we just squirt around the pan and it sinks to the bottom of the bowl under the waterline where it gets to work on the limescale down there as well. Leave it in for a good couple of hours then just scrub with the toilet brush before flushing, usually does the trick first time but sounds like you would need to give it a couple of applications if the scale is really thick.
