How can I empty toilet?

Options
Loo in my new house is terribly stained and I can't clean it, no cleaner I put in is making any difference.

I have tried scrubbing with Cif, and above the water line I've had some success. How can I empty the water out to try and scrub the very bottom?

Thanks

get a spraycan top (ie from a deodorant or a foam cleaner can top etc) and scoop the water out of the toilet that way until its gone - for the last dregs you can use an old car sponge then chuck it away afterwards.

Then you'll be able to scrub/clean the toilet bowl right down to the bottom.

Rubber gloves / large sponge / jug

Put rubber gloves on , put large sponge in toilet , soak up water , squeeze sponge into jug , empty jug , continue until toilet bowl empty ;)

Use a toilet brush to push as much of the water down the u-bend as you can and then use a turkey baster to get the rest out.

Have you tried using Harpic Power Plus Toilet Cleaner and leaving it over night (keep the window open when you do)?

Thanks. I did push as much as I could away with the brush. I do use Harpic power plus and was very surprised that it didn't shift this! Have not left it all night though I must admit.

Thanks all for the sponge idea. I will try that (I don't have a turkey baster!)

Am trying not to use too much bleach or bad chemicals as we have a septic drainage system.

I managed to unblock the same loo last week using a kettle full of boiling water (as mop didn't clear it) Nasty smelling stew, but it did the job without a ton of chemicals!

if you've already had a mop down it, that's ideal for removing water, but you might want to then bleach the mop

To empty it just turn the water off and flush it...

There should be a valve on the pipe going into the cistern.

Have you tried a whole 2 litre bottle of full fat coke left to soak over night? I'd also say leave the black Harpic over night too. It might take quite a few nights to eventually shift it but eventually it'll lift it all off.
