Morning All
Many Happies Vhalla - enjoy your day xx
Just been catching up as I've had a busy weekend. It's heart wrenching to hear how many of us are estranged from our children & grandchildren. My DH hasn't seen his children for over 30 years despite all efforts. I feel he has some consolation with DGD as they adore each other.
Helped DH with the local motor cycle club on Sunday. They had a charity run and over 70 of them turned up despite the absolutely awful weather! Leathers are still drying out. I've got a quiet week this week ( so far
) so lots of Kondoing going to be done with a bit of luck and maybe some baking.
Have a good day all xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Many Happy returns Viv,I hope you have a lovely Birthday xx.
I am so sorry to hear of peoples difficulties and heartache with family. My MIL is a shocker and I will never see her again. She is a very unhappy woman and Lyn has described her sort well.
Love the children's games ideas.I miss working with children. When mine were younger we played the number plate game in the car.The less popular numbers game uses the numbers of a car, played with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division depending on the age of the child.eg 54,5+4 or 5x4 etc
The more popular number plate game used the letters to make silly sentences.MFR Mum fries rice,RNU rabbits need underpants etc etc
Had an afternoon off yesterday. The van went back so we were in a town so we had a mooch round.Bought a dress and another pair of smart black trousers as my others split on the seam and material too frayee to sew.Everthing in the CS was half price anyway. Both need turning up as I am a shorthouse.
Also got some crisps and biscuits as we plan to go to Harrogate next week have a stay in an hotel which I havent booked yet and then a day in Scarborough.I would like to go to York to the Kaffe Fasset exhibition but perhaps not this time.
Look away now if you are of a nervous disposition. It is 5 months to Christmas.I will have a Christmas meal and gifts before son and gf go to Canada in October. So I bought some little candles for the ladies, some pretty tins for youngest dd.They will all get my famous chocolate orange rudolphs at the table but what little gift can I give the 3 men? Any ideas? Only something for a couple of quid.
It is the calm before the storm today.Someone coming to remove the spiral staircase tomorrow, electrician putting in lots of sockets Thursday and new carpet for sitting room Friday.I will make the most of it and do food shop this morning and then swan off to craft club.OO don't let me forget to send that info.
