Evening All - my Desktop was playing up too & I've got Windows 7 - I've also got Avast as my security programme and that had loads of updates too - maybe to accommodate Windows updates!
DH & I are biting the bullet and sailing across the Solent to the IoW tomorrow ( with a group) I'm feeling a little more confident but only a little. We're having a BBQ and then coming back on Sunday.
I've been asked to make some curtains for one of the other boats so mine musn't look too bad!
Celtic - don't know what shape you are but shift dresses are still 'in' and are quite straightforward to do - I've often bought clothes in CS's that have been much too big & remade them if the fabric was nice - its often cheaper 'cos the zip/buttons etc are already there.
Missed you Mrs L - glad little Zebra's on the mend. GQ's been quiet too - maybe she's busy on her 'Lottie'
Have a good weekend all and keep your fingers crossed for me - don't want to be rescued by those big tough RNLI guys although on second thoughts...............;)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
vulpix, I'm so sorry! I was copying your caulflower crust pizza recipe and my screen jumped and I got a message thanking me for "reporting spam". I really did not mean that to happen. I don't know what I can do to fix it.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400

Learned how to make "foaming handwash" to refill the expensive one I got for my birthday - should save a bit as it uses about 1/3 of the soap the normal one does!
OH dismantled an old dressing table mirror we found at the tip - we'll prop the mirror up in the hall and he's using the wooden backing for a couple of projects.
Have recently donated 12 big bags to CS, mostly books, and have another one ready to go out - scary at first but very freeing now.Looking ahead0 -

Just click on the spam button again and it undoes the report..... I do it all the time when using my iPad.

Same here - you will see, when you accidentally click the spam button it will change to read Not Spam. That's the problem with tablets, kindles and phones, so easy to hit the wrong key.One life - your life - live it!0

Hiya all
Glad (and not glad - cos its inconvenient for folks!) that others were also suffering with hiccupping internet - it was also happening to several of my friends!! someone said 'Its the Chinese you know - trying to hack us all' - humm dont think they'd find owt useful about me!!
Silvasalva - I know what you mean about the RNLI guys phew!!!
I ve had a bit of a b!gger of a day :-( One of my student's parents cheques have bounced!!! £160 in all - not something I can do with being without!! I ve called them but so far no response!!! I would be on the phone so fast to apologise and say that I would sort it out!! Even during my worst days of financial troubles - on Martins advice :money: - I rang firms up and would apologise to them if I could not make a bill and then tell them when I would pay - and never missed that date!! Don't understand folks - I never let a small business down nor a person - only the larger businesses!
Heigh ho -just hope they pay up asap. I hate asking for money!!
Food today very MM&M - a case of fridge diving and making a veggie stir fry from what was there!!! Also turned out the shoe cupboard/box thing and was able to 'disappear' several files into there. Edited those down first so I am v happy about that :-) :j
Spice cupboard tomorrow!! and then kitchen drawers - have promised myself a treat as a reward if I get them done by 10 am. Any suggestions as to type of treat?? (non fattening? non expensive?)Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j
NSDs 2015:185/330 (allowing for hols etc)
LBM: started Jan 2012 - still learning!

I'm alive, but went out of the house at 8.30 am yesterday, back briefly just before 3, off again for an hour, back and then to bed at 8.30 pm.
Tis the merry month of May and multitudinious maleficient weeds are making mayhem on my beloved lottie. I'm just about holding the line up there, but enjoying myself thoroughly.
I like veggie gardening because it's practical and also because it's a BS-free zone in a world which is all too infested with spin and palaver. With a veg patch, you do the work and get the results. You procrastinate, or try to bluff it, and it goes badly. Veggie gardening sorts out the talkers from the doers, which is why some people try it and quit, I reckon.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Nothing wrong with liking your armchair and slippers Lyn. I can see why you would be tired but I don't think you would have it any other way.
I have dilly dallied about applying for an allotment for years. I actually applied in the last borough I lived in up north but haven't down here as I have been just too busy. We live right next to allotments and my work commitments will be lessening soon so I think now is the time to get myself on the waiting list. I will add it to the to do list for the week ahead.
Today will be finishing the kitchen. We've DH's cupboard (which is already working hard for us!) to paint and find door handle of some sort, the cupboard fronts need a last coat and we'll measure up for flooring today too. I would also like to sand the top of my chest of drawers but given i have to work this evening I think I should be realistic, especially as the fridge is bare too so will have to rectify that.
It is sunny today so off I go to get the wash on to hang on the whirlygig (still not cemented in but wedged with a bit of wood!) althought the showers we have been getting lately I think i would be wise to watch very closely.
Have a lovely MMM weekend everyone0 -
Hiya FUDDLE how exciting, an allotment, oh my you and the family will LOVE it!!! It will also save you oodles and oodles of cash and give you the freshest most nutritious veg you've ever had. If you ever need growing advice He Who Knows is the man to consult, he'll always help, he's kind like that. Plus you'll get all the fresh air and exercise you need and the girls will love all the wildlife on the plots, YAY!!!
Go and natter to the existing plotholders and get to know them before you get your plot, they are usually very friendly and I know on our plots we always give surplus seedlings to anyone who wants them and things like excess raspberry canes and strawberry plants too. If they know you already, they'll rally round and you'll have some ready made friends!
Heard from Ruthie last night that Zebra was much better yesterday, just grumpy in the evening so hopefully he's well on the mend.
You have a lovely weekend to pet! xxx.0
