    Morning All,

A great improvement in the weather here so hopefully I won't have any soggy washing clogging up the bathroom; it's all out on the line and blowing in the wind,

Daughter-in-law has put the rest of my unwanted clothes up for auction so am finger crossing that they will sell so that I can get a few new bits for the summer. In all fairness I can afford them anyway, it's just that I would like a little spare money put away for emergencies (which of course always spring up at the most inopportune moments).

I've made a list of all the non-food bits I need for the next few months and am going into Louth with a friend tomorrow to pick them up; it's so frustrating not to be able to do little jobs around the house because one small component is missing, so that's the aim for tomorrow. Today I'm going to sort out the 'miscellaneous' drawer in the kitchen - I'm sure there are things in there which are of no use to man nor beast!

    Have a great day, All.

    Viv xx

I second the need for an emergency fund! Just waiting for the repair man to arrive to fix my dishwasher and my waste disposal unit has given up the ghost! TBH the WD is over 20 years old & the DW is 14 years old but hopefully the DW will give a few more years service.
The box I use for glass is overflowing so I'll try & get that cleared away today & as I'm at home for a few hours I'll get some decluttering done.
Have had an invite to a family birthday at the end of April up your way Vhalla - Sleaford. Will be staying with DH's aunt just outside Bourne so hope to do a bit of shopping with her ;)
Sunny & blowy here so think I'll strip the bed - have a good day all
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

A pretty town is Sleaford; if you're staying near Bourne, silvasava maybe you'll get to go to Stamford - I recommend the George for lunch.

Ohhh Silvasava your cat is sooo beautiful and ever so helpful to assist with your MMM.

Well done on paying off CC Misstara it is a good feeling and makes MMM worth while.

Have moved cucumber seeds off windowsill so will keep fingers x something appears in a few days. Also managed to clean out the dreaded cupboard yesterday and bagged up some things for cs (phew).

Washing on line secured by about 50 pegs as it's lovely and sunny but gale force winds. Just about to have lunch and then I'm going to check cupboards/freezer to see what I need.

    Have a great afternoon all.xx

Back from Tesco and the weeks grocery shop is done.
I spent £45.56 for x3 adults. Will be also using foods from my freezer and cupboards.

My biggest spend was a lovely gammon joint £10.19.
I will be cutting it into x3 smaller joints. One for the oven and x2 for the freezer. Each joint will do x4 meals.

Used x2 coupons together worth 45p.(every little helps)
Oh went to the Tesco garage and saved £4 on his petrol bill with fuel save.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

So nice to see the sun shining bright today but its still very chilly. Too windy to do any weatherproofing so will stay in the sunny lounge and sort through some more seeds.

I've ordered in some plants, an evergreen honeysuckle, a normal honeysuckle, a peony and a clematis. Very much looking forward to having some climbers to adorn these fences and walls. It looks so bare without.

I've a dress to take up this afternoon. Rarely buy new clothes but I wanted a new dress and found one that I really liked with little sleeves. So many are too low necked and sleeveless for me.
I always seem to have about 8" to take off the bottom for it to still sit just above my ankle. Am I really such a titch? :D

All spending done for the day so will post now.

    Afternoon All,

I think I can safely announce that Spring has arrived here today :whether it is here tomorrow is of course another matter. So .. I sorted out the miscellaneous drawer this morning, I've baked biscuits with GS and GD (4 and 3 respectively) and they clean up as well -I'm a firm believer in training them young. The washing is washed, ironed and airing, I did two hours in the garden sorting out the pots for the new plants and finished the weeding for now, the house is dusted and vacuumed, I oiled the garden furniture and made a couple of hot meat loaves for the freezer. All this energy must have something to do with the weather. No doubt I shall have a few aches and pains tomorrow.

I sympathise about the dress length, Cheerfulness - oh to be average, whatever that is; the number of dresses I've had to reject in shops because they are only mid-thigh on me and although I'm relatively slim, it is neither appropriate or pretty to show your knees once you are a certain age!

    Afternoon!

I have a loaf of spiced date and walnut bread baking at the moment...should be good - but has another hour before it is done.

This means making a batch of joghurt tonight so that I can make some joghurt cheese to spread on the bead!

I have spent a little money today...but sometimes it is necessary!....After the severe wardrobe cull yesterday I decided to buy a pair of jeans and 2 tee-shirts...I have dropped 2 sizes since last summer and felt a couple of new items was justified! (Actually it is nearer 3 sizes in tops...but I like them baggy so have kept a few of the larger tops!)

...and I sympathise Cheerfulness...when I get my new jeans I KNOW they will need to be taken up before wearing!....Why don't they make clothes for 'normal' people??!!

GP visit is booked for tomorrow...so I also need to get a list ready of all the bathroom gunk I need prescribed...save me doing an extra trip for a repeat prescription in a week or two. (I can't use soap/shower gel/shampoo...I have to have the soapless gunk et.c prescribed)

Misstara - well done you. Isn't it a lovely feeling to see the back of a debt. Good on you for overpaying on the next one too and keeping up the momentum - you'll soon be debt free :)

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping to be debt free by mid 2016 and MMM is definitely helping me get there :)

Today I bought some lemons and eggs to make some more lemon drizzle cake, I'm heading round to see my gran tomorrow and it's one of her favourites so thought I would make some for her.

One of the colleagues at work gave me a quick lesson in knitting today. She said that she has some spare needles and wool that she will give me to practice at home.

you are like me, Cheerfulness - a person of reasonable height! There are only 2 clothes shops which I can go in (being a full 4ft 11 and 3/4 inches high) and buy short length jeans that fit 1) is Mn'S - but only when I am a size 14 or 16. The other is called Yours and has a web site. Their jeans are about £15 - 20 and curve in at the waist for those of us with curvey figures. Even sizes 18 and 20 in there fit my shorter leg length - without the need to shorten them - bliss!! So do most of their other trousers to be fair but some styles are not comfy on me for the fuller figure. The jeans are really comfy tho!

Due to my thriftful ways at home was enabled to enjoy a guilt free evening meal for £10 down the pub today (because I am on hols - for folks that don't know!!) Lovely food! Recommend the village pub in Luxillyan if you visit the Ed!n Project in Cornwall - brill place inside the project but food a bit dear - pub one mile away is great! Yea!!!

Bed now - two more days here then back to frugality! I think the change will be as good as a rest tbh! Cant keep up with all this gadding about for long LOL
