The itching continued to keep me awake. I will be very tired later.
Pleased to see that I have now got cleared funds, card payments, etc in the bank, so I will be able to pay the rent and start July with £507 plus whatever we took yesterday. It is always a relief to see the card payments finally reach the account.
My brother and Mum are coming over to see me at the shop today, and we will have a full house. The work experience girl, my two sewers, my receptionist, and me!
I expect that two wedding dresses at least will be done. several easy jobs like Hemings, and more scarves.
Also I plan to cut out a suit that a lady needs for a wedding in a few weeks.
But today I am going to stop for Lunch, as after we sign Mums power of attorney stuff tomorrow my brother will be going back to France. Mum will be preparing to go, and I probably won't see My brother again until the winter. ( unless he comes back to check Mums bathroom is installed properly. But I am sure we could do that.
Cup of tea done, time to try and find something to wear that will have the least irritation to my skin.
Have a good day xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo - I'm not sure if I've said this before but how long is your current contract with the card machine provider? I struggled along with Streamline for 2 and a half years waiting 3 plus days for the money I took plus paying monthly fees. They wouldn't even break my contract when the business closed due to flooding and still charged me £85 to get out of that contract. I am now with PayPal and unless they carry out one of their random stops on your money the cash is in my account within 2 hours of taking it. It's amazing what a difference it makes psychologically and from a cash flow POV. No more card minimums to put people off putting under a £5 on a card and the machine is owned by me too (£49) anyway it is something I wish I'd known about years ago. Oh also I don't need till roll anymore because I hook my machine up to a tablet using a free till software. All money saving." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I'm with World Pay on a 18 month contract I think.
I did get a call from another provider who wanted to undercut them and see if they could get me out of the contract but I haven't followed through at the moment as so much going on.
I will be keeping things on review though.
My rent is only £18 plus 5p a transaction hook up, and a few % of each transaction. But I can't remember exactly off the top of my head.
It was a busy day in the shop. Everyone had their jobs to do, and we all worked well. Although I took an hour out at lunch time to go and eat.
I have cut out a few Makes, that really need my attention.
Hopefully I will continue to make inroads with it on Thursday and Friday.
The work is still coming in as fast as it's going out, which is at quite a rate now. We have nearly hit the 300 jobs since we celebrated the 1000 not so long ago. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I am so happy/sad.
Finally after two and a half years we have had a letter from the adoptive parents telling us about the boys.
I rang twin2, and read the letter out. I will forward her copy to her tomorrow. She was tearful, but Like me, happy to have news of them. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I slept better then I have in months.
Still feel tired, forgot to set the alarms and only woke up at 7.15
Today I have a quick fitting to do at 9.30 for a lady who is going away tomorrow. So I will sew it at home later today.
Going to Mums to sign the documents today, and meeting Biggest of Mooloos there. She is not happy that she was pushed aside from things, as my Dad had wanted her to take control of things and made her promise, but my brother has ignored her completely.
So words may be said today.
I don't blame her, he is forging ahead with his way and nobody is getting a chance. mum is so used to Dad doing things that she's just agreeing with everything. Unfortunately as Dad didn't change the will etc or write down his instructions then we aren't legally able to do much about it.
Personally I told Mum there is little point of hording it, she can afford a few luxuries, like meals out, trips, taxi's, etc so should make the most of it.
Time to get a move on.
DGD needs to get ready for school so I better go supervise her. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
What a lovely day. I have signed the forms, seen everyone, did the fitting. Spent several hours with Mum, Brother, Eldest and DGD2.
Collected DGD and we put up the paddling pool and gazebo. That's hard to do on my own. But after a struggle I did it.
Then this evening I have done the ladies alteration and she's coming in an hour to collect it.
Heating up a lasagne for tea. Rather late in the day as we were not very hungry earlier. Erm, possibly because we had an ice cream after school.
The itching is a little better, let's hope it continues to improveWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I knew a lady who had a rash which sounds similar to yours, she used to scratch until she bled on all different parts of her body and her skin was a real mess, it turned out that it was a stress reaction ( she had a fall ) and she just had to keep applying diprobase/double base cream and ride it out. She also had piriton before bed. Hope that might help you think of a possible cause
I would also like to say that I have been following this thread for ages and I want you to give yourself a massive pat on the back for what you have achieved so far, its absolutely brilliant0 -
Thanks. I was talking to one of the mums today who used to have terrible skin problems. She said she also felt burning etc with the base cream I am on, had to get another one. I stopped using it yesterday, and think it may have been making me worse. I will use my normal dove tonight and the betnovate. Still take the steroid at the moment, see if things improve.
It's a bit too warm to do the housework/attack the sitting room or the lawn, so it will have to wait. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo - sometime the burning or reaction is the preservatives in the cream rather than the cream itself.
There is a lot of useful information on the National Eczema site (even if it'd not eczema, information about creams & wash stuff can be useful)0 -
Finally I am seeing a reduction in the rash. Still some itching, and ofcourse I keep knocking the tops off those previously scratched, but it is receding a bit.
Yesterday didn't quite go to plan. Had spent ages looking at the order book, slotting jobs into the days ahead and trying to get a grip on what needed doing, but had to redo some jobs that one of the staff had done. Some I managed to quality control check and do before customers arrived, another unfortunately I had missed and had been returned to deal with, and another one apparantly said her hem has come down and she's coming back! So I will have to watch her work, and show her better ways.
That put my day upside down, and means that I will be working either at home, or going in on Sunday.
the ladies on the evening class worked a little faster, but all are painfully slow. I had to tell the teachers to stop talking, and concerntrate, and we stayed till 10pm instead of 9.30 to get more done.
Next week is supposed to be the last week! Erm start at 7.15 and end at ??? Midnight??? Think they will not be anywhere near finished and may need to come in during the school holidays. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
