A good (bad) , day. Emotional yes, but it was a simple and beautiful ceremony. I did cry a bit, when singing the first song.
But on the whole, we got through it pretty
Much unscathed.

Tough day today Mooloo but it sounds as though you have a fitting tribute to a wonderful hand, husband, dad, granddad and great granddad.
Nimrod is a wonderful piece of music and very fitting under the circumstances.

Today was a busy day at work.
A morning of alterations and an afternoon of two birthday parties.
They kept me very busy. But I hope that they all enjoyed it.
I'm really tired now.
Had to get up at 6.30 to take DS to a days work, as the bike wouldn't start.
I have to still go and take him home soon.
Then I can relax.
Tomorrow I have to find a little time to do the garden, and then go and sort out some sewing to bring back home to work on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo - STOP NOW! You have enough on your plate - to add to that getting up early to take your son to work, and then having to stop whatever you are doing to take him home is just too much!
I appreciate that you want to ensure that he keeps his job - but his blessed bike seems to be the same make as all the junky cars that my offspring owned - until Mum's car refused to work before she needed to go out ;-) .
If you must support him - and his new little family - buy him a bus ticket!
Lecturing you with love x0 -
If a bus went the way the work is, and at suitable hours I would so do it!
There are no buses here that run where and when the work is.
The bike has become a white elephant as he never looked after it enough, or had it serviced properly. Although part of that was to blame on the garage he had it in to supposedly fix it. Who seemed to have taken forever, ripped us off with a bodge job, and charged the earth for the priveledge,
Realise that they have to do there own thing, and am fuming they wasted money on another pram as I have them a pram, when the bike needed fixing. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning. DGD woke me at 6.00am.
Tried going back to sleep but just had weird dreams.
I need a lazy day as I'm so tired.
But I do need to work later. I will go to the shop after lunch and possibly bring work back home. So DGD can still play.
At the moment she is playing with her Lego. I'm having a cup of tea and contemplating what needs to be done, and what can wait. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Tackling the itching first!
Bath with porridge oats to start with.
Then another grapple with sofa covers and get them in the wash.
Followed by school uniforms etc
Then if the sun comes out it's cut the grass.
After that, a trip to the shop to make sure all jobs due for fittings or collections tomorrow are done.
Mince defrosted for the evening meal.
Possibly a soup on to use up old veg at the bottom of the fridge.
After work, tackle the ironing then.
Sounds like a plan to me.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Well didn't get the lawn done.
But did get my bath. Cleaned the kitchen , vacuumed the house, washed the chair covers, and spent 4 1/2 hours at work with DGD on gadgets and watching DVD. So I made good inroads to the jobs there, and also did a tough spreadsheet of the work still to do. Got home around 6.45, DGD and 'I , made homemade burgers for tea, we watched last nights Britain's got talent programme, and then I watched Vera.
I also did some unpicking for another job.
Missed the sunny bits, thought 7 was a bit late to cut the lawn. But at least I tried. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
