Ach, pooped.
DP and I have just had the mammoth of all, *life, the universe and everything* type chats............... Brain is frazzled. DP currently a puddle
Dinner this evening was Gado Gado Salad. Picture unfortunately doesn't show half of what was in it!
My version had; cucumber, boiled eggs, new potatoes, spinach, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, sauted tofu and the peanut sauce. With some lime segments on the side to squeeze over the completed salad. Not the recipe I used, but a very similar one here. I was a bit heavy-handed with the spinach, guess DP and I will bear an uncanny resemblance to P0peye for the next 24hrs!The peanut sauce was OK, definitely better to use actual peanuts, I think, and roast them yourself; rather than using peanut butter - far less claggy and you can adjust the salt content.
With that, I'll wave feebly and toddle off to Bedfordshire.
Thanks for popping in, i'll do a better response at some point tomorrow - thank you to everyone that has posted today.
See y'all later.

Looks yummy - I love peanuts/satay etc. I use pnut butter in cookies as it gives them a fudgy texture.
When we packed up over a year ago we reluctantly discarded the oldest/least used kitchen cupboard contents, and have been trying to use up the rest ever since. Tonight we had y/s salmon with couscous & salad. Tomorrow will be hm vege-mince lasagne.
I reluctantly chucked some old items tonight that I know we will not use, altho still feel guilty lol - but at least we won't have to move them again!
Recently had a new nectar card as I thought I had lost mine & I have been inundated with till spits for lots of extra points with no minimum spends - will add up to about £5 off my shopping. So, trips to Mr S for 20p FT teabags are underway0 -

Who are the lucky recipients going to be starnac? And do we get first dibs on *leftovers* ??(as if there will be leftovers!!!
)
Edit: starnac, you may want to use slightly less than the 8oz of sugar stated in the recipe - it does make a very sweet biscuit.

Thank you lovely

Good Evening :hello:
I'm beginning to think that I am jinxed, or that I'm bl0ddy awkward and don't want to follow the crowd, so in trying to purchase things or arrange things that are just a little bit different, or a little bit out of the mainstream, I'm coming up against 'computer says no' or 'OOS', 'sold out', or 'not interested in your request....' :eek:
Perhaps I ought to remember my place, and bear in mind I can have any colour I want, as long as it is black. I can have any thing I want, as long as it is in the catalogue. And I can order any style I want, as long as it is in their limited range............. Mmm, loves being a consumer sukka me........
However, I did encounter some very nice people today, who freely and generously shared their knowledge, with me - a complete novice - and so out me depth.....
Back to the drawing board (again) though *sigh* Ho Hum.
I was going to buy some YS'd mushrooms in mrA, however, I happened to notice that they were no cheaper in price (although they were button mushrooms, not ordinary size mushrooms) per 100g than the fresh stock at the front of the shop! I popped them back on the shelf and vacated the shop. Tomorrow night's pizza will remain 'black olive' as per the planner!And I think that I'm going to stop buying the 'ripen at home' avocadoes from mrM for a while - I seem to recall they started off well last year and then got into a lull of going rotten from the inside out. Out of 3 avocadoes this evening, I got about 1 and 1/3rd's worth
I can't afford to make compost at that price. Wish the Peruvian avocados would come back - they were lush. I think these were from SA.
Dinner this evening TTTTwas a salad plate. I used up the remaining half bag of spinach, and made 4 salads from my Arto del Haroutunian book; salad e havij (carrot salad, but I subbed chopped dates in rather than use sultanas), patates salatasi (potato and tomato salad - I used tinned potatoes and I didn't use tarragon - used some dried parsley instead), avocado im egozim (avocado and walnut salad - my version doesn't include yoghurt, as mentioned before when linking to this particular recipe version) and Jajig (cucumber in yoghurt). Picture here;
Actually quite refreshing at the end of a hot and humid day.
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
generous people who freely share their knowledge and don't make you feel small
yoghurt - so versatile!
that I rather like the left-field in life.........
^ Speaking of which - I have a Lady GG song in my head as an ear-worm! Heard it on the radio on Tuesday morning and it's been on the decks ever since :eek: I'm not having a 'crisis' and trying to regain me yoof, am I? Tell me I ain't
Thanks everso for popping in, reading and joining in. Sorry I've not replied better. Pbucket played up and it took ages to upload me pic
See y'all later.

Good Morning :hello:
Ah, another day another dollar.
Dinner tonight is HM black olive pizza and potato wedges - the Cornish maris peer (or piper???) potatoes that I got from mrL the other day will be used. They weren't *terrifically* new potato tasting, so I don't think it is too heinous a crime to use them for wedges
Right, best get shifting a tail-feather.
See y'all later.

:hello: Morning (Afternoon) GP!
We did pizza yesterday courtesy of Mr T coupons - we've (I've) learned to order just what we (I) can eat now so no take-away box this time round! OH was rather pleased at that!
Why is it that I have to order small or 1/2 portions in restaurants? Just goes to show how unhealthy societal mentality is when it comes to luxury eating! ***steps down from soapbox***
Working from home today so lunch was freezer surprise- Thai Red Curry and sticky rice with lots of lovely crunchy green beans in amongst the prawns - have forgotten when I made that one so it must have been in there quite a while - since pre-move:eek:
Now that we are a bit more settled in our new place am aiming to do at least three store cupboard/freezer based meals for the upcoming week - hoping my organizing mojo is now returning! - our grocery budget has been maxed out for the past three months! - need to refocus on cheap/free meals!
Dinner tonight will be bottom of the fridge salad with HM dressing & a burger off the BBQ - no indoor cooking today! - burger baps/buns out of the freezer stores!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Oh dear. I dread to think what comes up now! I can be pretty naive sometimes so probably best that I don't g0ggle it!
I wrapped them in grease proof paper and tied it up with raffia I had left over from Christmas :rotfl: they actually looked pretty good considering how much I had spent on them.
Greying can I help you with what you are looking for? I understand that you don't want to share exact details but I know my way around a sewing machine if it can be made xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
