a little miffed with mrL today...
1) received a less than satisfactory answer to my e-mail about bnsquash price error last week - was of the impression that stores had to honour the advertised price! - ok - maybe it's time I let that one go! - we have frozen cooked squash & a couple of cans of pumpkin so autumn feast can still be had!
2):eek::eek: they had sold out of bargainous eggplant/aubergine today!:D
...we did pick up a few ears of corn, so corn & feta fritters are planned for bf tomorrow
...also have an aubergine left from last week, so some sort of ratatouille planned for dinner tomorrow
...and all kinds of lovely bargains to be had in the rest of the store so lunches will be easy this week
Upcoming picks of the week are for 59p - 1kg conference pears, 350g mushrooms, 1kg baby potatoes & 50g packs of mini veg. - pondering how to work them into the meal plan...
GP did you see the sweet baby onesies at mrL? - cute little bears printed on them & quite bargainous too! - thinking that as lil'GP (like all babes) probably grows like a weed that perhaps getting larger sizes for winter makes sense?4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Good Evening :hello:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - Lawks, I wish online friends were just around the corner in RL
ok - maybe it's time I let that one go!
Gosh, not my forte rtandon - I don't like unfairness and ineptitude

No! I didn't - I've not been in this week and lost the opportunity to duck in yesterday
But thanks for that - I shall have a ganders. Want to nip into mrS for a look at some of their stuff too, so may well have forged a retail plan for tomorrow, despite the fact that I am currently celebrating.......

Good Morning :hello:
I know it is in it's waning cycle now, but have you seen the moon this morning? It was glowing earlier, but it is almost 'skeletal' now, pale silver against an increasingly blue sky
We had 'curry' for us tea last night
Utilising the produce that I was gifted, I made a version of Sri Lankan Runner Bean Curry (I didn't make the paste, just chopped up the onion and used jarred ginger) and teamed it with Red Lentil with Courgettes (dalcha). Served with boiled rice. Picture here;
We finally got around to watching a film 'off tape' and watched 'Kings of Curry' which was on BBC2 a week or so ago. It was a lovely watch - the food was brilliant, and made us hungry! - and we were in tears by the end!
Today's 'tea' will not be what is on the planner, as it would have needed to have been made already, and then re-cooked. It obviously escaped my attention that i was out on Friday, when I could have made the dish to make best use of the oven - although that said, now that I've got into the habit of using oven chips, the chips and pizza cook at the same time, so there is less need to 'fill' the oven. I will however, try to make today's tea a 'bake' of some description.
Right, Baby Greying's needs have been met and DH is currently on 'nappy duty' so I'd best pootle off and make some breakfast.
Ta for popping in and reading. Mucho, mucho appreciated. By me. Always.
