    Get well soon GP.

    I've finally found an Aduki Bean Curry, so thought I'd share. Obviously I didn't follow the recipe exactly (didn't weigh anything, didn't have fresh coriander, only had one green chilli), but it was nice. For anyone else with a glut of AF aduki beans it might come in handy as a way to use them up.

  • Hope you feel better soon Greying. I keep popping in for inspiration and have finally found my mojo again.

    So as well as a bit of kondoing this morning (utensils), I made a food plan for the week and have just popped out to shop for it (after popping to the post office and dropping a box off to the charity shop which both open on Sunday).

    So I'm all ready to make two shepherds pies plus I have the stock in for the rest of the week. Sadly it was £49 in total but mainly because a spend of £10 in one dpt gave a 7p off fuel voucher. Next week I'm going a step further and will be back to MrL.

    Thank you so much for the inspiration, I knew I'd get back again with your help eventually :) x

  • Good Evening :hello:

    I am just blown away by all your good wishes. Thank you. Thank you.

    I'm afraid I really am not much better, although I am better than I was on Friday - but given that I was all but crawling along on the floor on Friday, everything is relative!

    I have booked to see the doc, but because I opted to see 'my' doctor, I'm having to wait a week as they are fully booked up. I may have to review this decision, but for the moment I am holding out, as they are a good doctor.

    I've clung onto my cooking mojo (thankfully) so we've been able to eat, we've had several things that I've told you about before, but I made one of Leanne's salad that I'd not made before - Beetroot and Chickpea which is out of her Good & Cheap booklet pg 53 - KEEPER for me, although I used what I had so, I used mandarin juice in place of the lemon and almonds in place of the peanuts. Picture here;

    I teamed it up with a 'version' of Nige Slater's Spiced lentils with labne (out of his Kitchen Diaries II - apparantely, I can't find a link, sorry :() - which I took in a Spanish direction with the spicing (to match the beet salad) and just dolloped yoghurt on top of, as I certainly could not be bothered to make labne at the moment :o The runner beans were gifted HG garden produce and were lovely :D

    Tonight I kept 'soup night' very simple, as luckily the HG garden produce included courgette, so it was a 'no-brainer' to make the soup that the lovely Heidi Swanson blogged about t'other day Thai Zucchini Soup My version here;

    056_zpska44l3iz.jpg

    I used toasted cashews in the soup, as I had some and I put a speck of coriander in the soup too, as I like it :D Again, a keeper of a recipe, simple ingredients and easy to put together :D Just be careful with your chillies though :whistle: #abithot

    And finally, yes, DP has been fussing over me and is genuinely concerned about my welfare :( (hate worrying him - or anyone else for that matter) and after a poor day Friday, and doing, quite frankly booooger all on Saturday, I was greeted with this for breakfast on Sunday morning;

    HM yoghurt with exactly half - no less! - of the blueberries that our sadly neglected blueberry bush has produced this summer. DP picked, washed, dried and arranged them all by himself and even did the 'drizzle' too :D:A Aw bless. Gotta love being in a partnership, whether it's your turn to do the support or to receive it.......

    After that, I'm exhausted again. I'm gonna prep snap and then head to Bedfordshire.

    Thank you again for all your support. Excuse me if I'm absent over the next few days, but I'm struggling a little. Normal service will be resumed, I'm just not sure when.

    Greying x (feeling really, really very blessed at this point in time)
