I think I did truely hit rock bottom as I did something stupid and took an od and ended up in hospital. I know now how stupid that was but like newbie has said you will here horror stories in the room that people have come back from so if they can do it so can you.
I was only late by a couple of days with a payment so I can't really help on the mortgage front. I was in a fortunate position that my family was able to help me out, which I also went onto abuse. That was so unlike me but that is what gambling had reduced me to.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

I am going to speak to the mortgage in the morning
Do you think I should be completely honest?
Should I offer them the 350 I have, or keep that If they are just going to chuck me out anyway?0 -
I really don't know on either of those fronts as I have not been there so wouldn't want to give you bad advice. Maybe head over to the mortgage board and post there to see what they have to say.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

They can't just chuck you out. Worst case scenario is they take you to court but the judge would look more favourably on you if you showed a full intent to pay your arrears0 -
Thank you barbarawright
I do want to pay them, and I will, I'm just an idiot who doesn't have the money right now
In which case I should give them the money that I do have. Even if it is just £3500 -
And barbarawright - I have that article from the CAB site you linked for me open in another page so I'll read that later too0

If you pay the £350, then at least the amount you owe them will be less.Never Knowingly Understood.
