Tomorrow I have to call the mortgage company and tell them I can't afford to pay them

I am struggling with a gambling addiction.
I was doing really well.
But on xmas day I got carried away. Drank too much. Gambled my whole month salary.
I am already 2 months in arrears on my mortgage and had agreed with them to pay it back over 6 montha from jan.
But now I can't even pay them the regular amount in January.

I guess I am just getting it off my chest
What a mess. I will probably now lose my house0 -
I'm sorry what a tough situation. Are you going to ga else maybe this is the rock bottom you need to start going. They can help you block yourself from sites I believe so you can't be tempted the same way.
Also might be worth talking to shelter and stepchange about the mortgage and debt itself as to what your options are.[STRIKE]Original Mortgage 07/07 £160000 LTV 100% [/STRIKE]Remortgaged 10/13 £118000 LTV 84%
Outstanding 02/12/14 £107652.40 LTV 76%0 -
Thank you for your response
I was doing so well
I just need to say on track
But you can hardly ring rhe mortgage company and beg for another chance, can you0 -
take away king
first thing if u really want to stop google GA and get to a meeting
ring the morgage people u will be suprised how much help they can assist with
and good luck you can do it just as i have0 -
Hi,
better to let them know the situation than ignore and hope it goes away.
Good luck.0 -
Newbie - thank you but this isn't the first time I have skipped a payment to them. In fact it's probably pay 2, skip one, pay a bit extra for a month or two, skip another
Surely their patience with ME will run out and they will now throw me out of my house in January0 -

they will help you at the morgage company but yoou need to get to a GA meeting if you are ready for it and only you will know this0 -
I hope they will give me one more try. I have £350 that I can give them (should be giving them £1900) to show that I want to pay
I'm dreading them just saying "nope. You had a chance. Deliver up your keys tomorrow."0
