I also run a very successful business and 80% of my business comes from there. What I spend in Ebay fees is only what I would pay to Google for ads, except I get sales. It is not the place to go and sell things that hundreds of other sellers have, but then I would have thought that anyone with a brain cell would know that. Saying that, perhaps that would be asking a lot given the number of times I have read "I want to start my own business but what do I sell and where do I get it?" oh and "who will give me free money for having a go and quitting a month later because I didn't know I had to work at it". I'm not cynical at all!0

Not every dropshiping is scam. 85% are. You must try trusted resource to find trusted one. I trust to esource site. Try it..Or, Wholesale Deals, really good one..And, in EVERY occasion, do not trust to one who will your money for membership!0

Setting aside all the pros and cons of dropshipping, the over-riding consideration for me is to think of myself as the buyer.
If the OP sets himself up as "OP DVDs", and offers a reasonably in-demand DVD at, say £7.99, and Amazon had the same at £8.99, I'd probably buy from Amazon rather than the OP's store. Trusted Brands, etc.0 -
Id say anything you have to pay to join is almost certainly a scam.0

I use a wholesaler for my business, they offer a dropshipping service that I have used several times and I sold the products through ebay. It's a good way for me to sell large quantities with no outlay upfront. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Hi guys and gals!
Can anyone share their thoughts and experience on making money by using the dropshipping method?
I've read this guide at abc-of-ecommerce.com/ebook and from their words it seems like dropshipping is a relatively easy way of making money online.
You just open an account on an online marketplace like ebay, amazon, etc, find a supplier and list his products on your store, at a higher price. When a purchase is made, you contact your buyer and tell him the shipping address, pay him, and then he ships the product and tells you the tracking number and you tell the tracking number to the buyer.
This looks fairly simply to me. Can anyone share their experience on this?
Thanks!0 -
I drop ship and sell things from my own website. I don't list on ebay or amazon because of the fees and competition.
When looking at drop shipping companies I couldn't find any decent ones, going by the prices they gave me I wouldn't make anything as a lot of people were selling the same things on there cheaper than I could buy them for! I looked for certain companies and asked if they dispatch directly to my customers and I started like that.0 -

Thanks for the share Alex. Can you tell me where to find those good dropshipping companies?0 -
Hiya Guys,
Was wanting some info on people that have done this before, what charges do I need to look out for? Happy to give figures.
Ordering 5000 at cost of $0.11ea ($550 total , £345 ish according to google exchange)
I can buy in the UK for £850 total, as I use these for my business I don't need to make a profit just cheaper then £850.
Weight is about 82kg(they say 75 so saying 82 to be sure I posted 400 last week and they were 6.5kg)
I've done an import calculator and they reckon £139 for fees (import and taxes) I've also based that on 400USD delivery as I had no idea..so say £150 to be sure, leaves £350 for delivery?
345 + 150 = £495 , £350 left over
(Sorry I know a lot of figures I am working it out on here as well....would REALLY appreciate some help :rotfl:)
Is their hidden costs i.e insurances I need to look out for? I contacted them originally on Alibaba I think they want me to pay direct but I will go through the website at least for my first few orders? If posted via sea does it get delivered to door or do I need to be their to collect it?People don't know what they want until you show them.0
