I went to the market in town today, stopped off for a hot choc at Costas - there were enough points on my card for it to be free!!
Then went into B00ts for lemsips cos DH is a uni lecturer and every October he gets sick from dirty kid germs, I had enough points so they were free too!
Then I went into Superdrug for vitamin C tablets, they were free too!
Don't really go into these shops a lot, so was pleasantly surprised.

Popped to the farm shop to get some oyster grit for the chickens and saw the lady we bought our hens from there. She was holding a poultry sale and I was very tempted by the running ducks - so sweet. Anyway, I resisted but running alongside the sale was a lady promoting chicken food and corn. She gave me two bags of sample food and a £1 voucher off our next purchase! Also found a penny but pointed it out to Small who claimed it in delight :)

  • Hello fellow womblers! Got back from my weekend getaway with my hubby. A few wombles made during the weekend and at the same time made 3 NSD's. We came home with the unused tissue roll, facial tissue, washcloth and toiletries. Also teabags and coffees sachets and milk. Who doesn't take those items when staying in hotels. I don't know if this is considered a womble. I was in desperate need for a cut and colour but due to the hectic weeks on the run up to the weekend, I didn't manage to book my hairdresser's. I found a hair dye that I bought ages ago, not sure if it was expired but I took it with me to the hotel and used it just before our formal banquet on Saturday night and presto, no grey hair in sight. I reckon I saved at least £20.

Did my food shopping today. Wombled a few receipts in Aldee. Uploaded them on the cashback sites and earned 18p. I had a sandwich in subway but only paid 99p for my drink. My sandwich was paid for by my reward points on my subcard. I still have about 4 6inche sandwiches worth of points.

They are ducks that stand upright and stretch their necks out making them long and skinny. They're very cute, but ducks need water and a pond is messy with ducks.

Serious lack of wombling offerings from me ATM :(

Work had lots of left over salads. These are served in wide clear plastic cups, and it takes 3 or 4 to fill someone up. I wombled 4 tabouleh (couscous) salads, put them in a tupperware, and this will serve as dh's lunch tomorrow.

Yesterday we went to the Dutch monkey zoo of Apenheul, on wombled tickets :-) If you ever are in the Netherlands and have some spare cash, it is really worthwhile, especially with kids. In parts of the park, the monkeys run free with the public, such fun!

Scratch the lack of wombles...DH arrived home late tonight with a pack of custard doughnuts and an LED spotlight, courtesy of a supplier at his work. Doughnuts are yummy and the spotlight is just right for lighting the side of the house :D

morning all ... eventually post :)

60 pts was added to Mr TEE this last week. Which is super for me. Lots of YS stickers in MadS and MrTEES too. So a frugal few weeks food there. Had to buy new fridge yesterday but its 11 years since I had to do so and a local supplier matched an online provider. Frugal purchase. Love reading all of your posts
