My apologies, it's probably my English that caused the joy :-)

Anyway, I'd totally forgotten that we had a breakfast buffet at work today. I was in a rush this morning and skipped breakfast, so this came very handy! Lots of left-overs; most croissants, pain-au-chocolat, and danish pastries were sent to the refugee tent camp in the city centre. Cheese (different kinds), lunch meats (different kinds), yoghurts, smoothies, fruit juices, fruit, still offered at Reception / office fridge. I'll see what's left tonight and bring it home.

No need to apologise, Siberia, and it's not your English at all. It's probably just the way my brain is defaulted to think of loo roll. I don't know why. Strange...

  • I've noticed in the smaller supermarkets now, they have placed bins next to the self service checkouts. Those bins are a wombles dream, but I think it would be rather noticeable if I started rummaging through them to pick out all the receipts! I have managed to grab a few receipts that have been left on the self service tills a few times lately though so have earned a few extra CC points and uploaded them to COS & CS. Also, not technically wombling, but my youngest daughter was telling everybody how much she enjoyed Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire pudding. I emailed Aunt Bessie's from their website to tell them how funny she was telling everybody she saw and they emailed me back to ask for my address so they could send my daughter a voucher for a free pack of Yorkshires : )

Well we don't even have luxury toilet rolls in our house, so can't explain my mistake lol.

Siebrie - it's great that your work are sending the food to the refugees instead of binning it. Conditions for these poor people must be terrible :(

MoneyMission - flattery can get you somewhere occasionally - good result. I made some stupendous ones last weekend, which was truly amazing as normally they are a disaster. Using free range organic eggs from my ladies must be the trick x

Left-over score at end of workday:

8 large slices of good ham
15 125g pots of natural yoghurt
2 125g pots of fruit yoghurt
2 750g pots of bio yoghurt
    300g of goat cheese

During the day everyone was snacking on sliced cheese, fruit salad, cashew nuts, smoothies in different colours (even the dirty dishes looked festive), and fruit juices.

Took some wombled receipts to Mr Ts yesterday.
"Can you put my points on please?"
"Sorry, I can't put them on"
(I thought maybe her machine was broken)
"We saw you pick them up off the floor, they're not your points"
    (Red face, embarrassment and anger)
"Will you give me the receipts?" she said.
    "No, they were thrown away"

I took them to another Mr T.
The lady seemed to scrutinise them more than usual.(My paranoia?)
Then added them on to my points.

    Has a memo gone round?
Watch out, big brother is watching you!

On the plus side we had a wonderful day out and my wife found a 50p piece on a path.

Also claimed 50p CS on a wombled receipt for something on offer.

    Oh lord that is funny:rotfl:
