3 luxury rolls from a business lunch. They will be tomorrow's lunch.

Oh my :rotfl: I somehow read this as 3 toilet rolls :rotfl:hmmmm, very tasty. Must use my glasses!

£1.67 APG voucher used on my online shop and found 9p in the car park at school. 6 eggs from my feathered girls. Was also upgraded to a pricey balsamic vinegar as my cheaper choice wasn't available. Price difference £2.35, but only charged what my usual one cost. Very pleased - thanks Asda x
  • Hi all sorry for being AWOL recently. I had a lot of wombles recently but life happened and didn't manage to post them on here. A few spring to mind. We went to London last weekend and we discovered the newest Virgin VIP Lounge in Haymarket. The boys enjoyed an hour of fun in their games room, DH and I had lots of free coffee (imagined how much it would have cost in Costa or Starbucks) free biscuits, free juice and fruits. I even wombled 2 juicy pears to take to the hotel. Our church choir was invited to sing at a church in London and we were fed all day from lunch til late at night with food to take to the hotel too. Found 20p left in the coin/change slot in Oyster card machine. Had 10p extra when the machine didn't have the exact change. Due to the busy weekend, didn't manage to upload receipts on COS and CS but had 9p yesterday and 9p again today. Will be going away with hubby this weekend but hoping for a No Spend Weekend as the trip had been paid for last month. Hoping to come home on Sunday with lots of freebies and give aways.

    Happy wombling!

Wow, some great freebies and wombling there Theonlygirl Loving the sound of the VIP lounge!

Surprised late last night with some more yogurt and chocolate desserts by DH's friend. 18 fruit yogurts (these ones are DH's favourite) and a dozen mixed selection of chocolatey delights. Nom nom nom...

Took some wombled receipts to Mr Ts yesterday.
"Can you put my points on please?"
"Sorry, I can't put them on"
(I thought maybe her machine was broken)
"We saw you pick them up off the floor, they're not your points"
    (Red face, embarrassment and anger)
"Will you give me the receipts?" she said.
    "No, they were thrown away"

I took them to another Mr T.
The lady seemed to scrutinise them more than usual.(My paranoia?)
Then added them on to my points.

    Has a memo gone round?
Watch out, big brother is watching you!

On the plus side we had a wonderful day out and my wife found a 50p piece on a path.

Also claimed 50p CS on a wombled receipt for something on offer.

This is why I still feel uncomfortable about picking up receipts and only tend to do it when no one is around!

At first my husband didn't want to go the the VIP lounge. He thought it was a waste of time but as soon as he got there, he was easily converted and even asked me to take photos of himself in there. Oh did I tell you that the lower ground floor of the lounge is set up like the inside of a Virgin Atlantic aeroplane? Very unique. I just wish they would build one up here up north.

I am slightly jealous of your wombled yogurt pots. I love the fruit ones too.

My apologies, it's probably my English that caused the joy :-)

Anyway, I'd totally forgotten that we had a breakfast buffet at work today. I was in a rush this morning and skipped breakfast, so this came very handy! Lots of left-overs; most croissants, pain-au-chocolat, and danish pastries were sent to the refugee tent camp in the city centre. Cheese (different kinds), lunch meats (different kinds), yoghurts, smoothies, fruit juices, fruit, still offered at Reception / office fridge. I'll see what's left tonight and bring it home.
