The Food & Drinks department were showing their newest lunch option for meetings & events: large round brown breads with a lovely top-crust, that acted as a lid. Inside, the original bread was removed, and different bread was inserted, 5 layers of sandwiches, each with a different filling (cream cheese, tuna, salmon, etc), cut in tiny triangles (like you cut cake). I wombled one sandwich of each filling, and hoped to come back for more. Except.... it was vile! And still frozen after 3 hours on the Reception desk. It's a good thing I brought my own lunch to work.

I've only seen one thing like that before and that was at a French kids party I did the catering for. The host mum had a big hollow loaf and inside it were lots of other sandwiches.

I found a bucket hat whilst out and about with work a while ago. I finally got round to listing it on ebay and it sold at the weekend. I ended up making over £3 on it.

Well done Muhren that is brilliant!

My own wombling today was £2 in tips. Which I've given to the gods of PAD (or payment a day challenge for those not in the know)

Evening everyone! I've been MIA for a while as we've moved house and haven't had any internet for about 2 weeks! I didn't realise just how much I used and relied on it until now. Nearly had a breakdown

I've lost count of my running total but am pleased to report roadkill of 57p in the garden of our new house, £1.23 price match voucher, wombled 26 unclaimed points and a fabulous £1.55 found when rummaging in my baby-changing bag this afternoon. Yep, pleased with that :D
  • Found another 5p on the floor in the staff room this afternoon added to my pot. Is it wrong to swipe it? It was feeling dejected on the floor. Last week I found and swiped 13p in different corners at work?

    Morning All

Dizzy - welcome back. You've had lots of good wombling success lately I'd say. Try and keep a total even for the next half year. Be exciting to see how you get on by December.

The Only Girl - personally I think it's fine. Sometimes I find coins at the cafe dotted around the place. I put them in my tips jar. I can't imagine a total stranger is going to come back saying 'oh I lost 5p in here the other day' I'd guess the same for your workplace. It's not like you are stealing by picking up discarded coins.
