  • Can I join in ???

Always on the lookout for coins, receipts etc on my walks to work, school etc. However, my OH and DS get embarrassed when I start picking up receipts off the street.

Haven't found many coins recently however, found a £1.30 price promise which was left in the trolley I was away to use so will use that next time I'm there.

Did find a school dinner ticket on my way home earlier, no name on it though - do I use it for my son to get a free lunch or do I hand it into the school???

Of course Welsh Mummy, nice to meet you.

You sound like a seasoned Wombler already!

I'm afraid I don't know about the school dinner thing. From an ethical POV I'd say so long as it can't be linked to an individual child's account and therefore they miss out by you using it, do it. Otherwise it's a wasted resource isn't it. Someone has paid for that lunch so finders luck I'd say.

Been finding quite a few coins on the sorting out I've had to do, accumulated nearly a fiver so far.

Just getting started with shoptize and checkoutsmart, have uploaded a couple of receipts and it seems to be going ok. Wondered how others managed the lists, I thought screens jotting was the way to go but it didn't quite work as I find the phone screen too small to view. Maybe I should just revert to writing it down, but them I risk getting the wrong product,

No trolley finds, I'm still not brave enough to start picking them up in full view of the doorways.

Found 65p over the past week and another 2p today :)

I haven't been so lucky with the receipts but have been using Shopitize with some success. It has actually made me a bit more organised about ensuring we have milk and bread in the house, to my DH's delight!

May I join you even though I'm not currently dealing with debt? I'm in the fortunate position of being able not to work for a couple of months and want to see how much better we can manage our finances in the hope of being able to look for part time work rather than full time. I'm thinking that anything I can womble can be used for treats which will otherwise be thin on the ground!

    Successess so far:
    10p coin found
    £1.75 Siainsbury brand match found

I've also found a voucher for Sainsbury nectar points but it says it's to be used in conjunction with a specific Nectar card. Does anyone know whether they check this or apply it to the card on the coupon rather than the card of the person using it?

No they don't. I've put nectar points on that are supposed to be for a specific card before. Nice to meet you.
