A slow day on the wombling front just 4p in roadkill. I did however use boots points to purchase some toothpaste so that was a freebie of sorts.

Not a bad day mainly for roadkill again. Saw a girl throw away 2 2p coins. Waited till she'd gone then collected them. Why would you literally throw money away?

Because people don't follow the mantra 'Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves'....

I think your right. I literally see pennies everywhere. I suspect school kids are the main culprits.

When i was at secondary school we had dinner ladies that cleaned the tables when dinner time was over and one of the ladies i always spoke to.

At the end of dinner time any coppers or 5ps students used to have they used to throw on the floor or leave on the tables.

she came up to me one day with a letter from The Great North Air Ambulance and said that she had collected all of the change left in just one term and put it in a jar at home, when the jar was full she gave it to a charity. The letter said she had collected over £700 from change left behind by students. I personally used to take my change home and put it in a jar to pay for christmas presents for family. but it goes to show that it all adds up!
