Samsung Cancelled Repair - What does this mean?

The extended warranty is also a worldwide one.
Got any real evidence of that as most Samsung warranties are not worldwide .
Does the wifi symbols show connected .
Have you tried removing security from the router .
What part of the internet are you trying to access and by what method .
I have a copy of the warranty document stating worldwide coverage.
The wifi symbols do show as connected, and a strong signal but I never got any further than trying to log in to my Google account..it always comes up "Ooops there is an error", or something like that.
I did remove the router security, ie untick WPA2 (recommended) to NONE, but that only gave me the same result.
I dont know what "part" of the internet you mean. If you mean, my Google account, I have never been able to access it on this Chromebook.0 -

Might seem a weird question, but .... what channels are your 2.4 and 5GHz wifi networks set to use? (There are some channels that are valid for UK/EU but US-compatible devices cannot access because they are not valid in the USA due to FCC regulations).0
-
AS above
channels 14 and above are not UK channels .
What part of the internet is to rule out an application web browser email etc .
Are you able to access any part of the internet .
Email web browser .
If its only your Google account you are trying then you may well have an internet connection but account is at fault .
Samsungs warranty is a limited warranty and it is the reason i suspect for rejection that its non EU .
Samsung are not the vendor and any claim for a refund is against the vendor .As far as i am aware Samsung will not replace or refund .0 -
I could never open the browser to begin with, I never got that far.0 -

I am sure that is where the problem lies. It seems that this Chromebook is not compatible with BT Infinity HomeHubs.
Obviously Samsung engineers dont use these routers in their testing, hance are able to get on the Net.
Samsung are calling me back tomorrow, Monday, so will get a full update of where I am with this.0 -

I have never been able to access any part of the internet ever with this Chromebook.
My Google account works fine on my laptop, on the same home network.0 -
Just a thought after listening to all you knowledgeable folks.....is this problem likely to be confined to wifi only?
I mean..... if I plugged it directly into the router with an ethernet cable, would I likely to have any problem at all?0 -
Yes if it has an ethernet port and works it points the finger at wiFi .0

So why not change the wifi channel to something else on the Homehub? For example I have my 2.4GHz wifi on Channel 11 and my 5GHz on Channel 44.
Use inSSIDer to find out what 2.4 and 5GHz channels are quiet in your area.0
