I'm late in as usual! Been trying to sort out iPad and old lappy to get it all working again! Has everyone downloaded Windows 10 or should I steer clear of it for now? I've heard mixed reviews but I read somewhere they were doing away with 7, 8 & 9.

Fire**fly, I got them grippers same as the ones you showed Sylvia. Mine were a bit too small when they came to go over my shoes so I gave to mum. Not sure if she's used them though!

No snow here either indie/Sylvia....just freezing!

I was so annoyed last night. I went to bed at 12 and neighbour came in from pub and decided to put music on. It didn't bother me at first but then she put it extremely loud and it was in conservatory. The walls were pounding! It woke my 2 oldest kids up and this went on until 6.30 in the morning. At one point DH put his clothes on to go next door but I wouldn't let him as I could hear lads in there swearing and shouting and I was worried they might do something. It ended up me & DH arguing and he slept on sofa! I took DD to gymnastics 10am but they put music on again before I went and turned it off at 12.30 again. Other neighbours bro is a police officer so she is having words with him. I even video 'd the noise just incase! I don't want to fall out with neighbours but hope she sorts herself out and her drinking! I should be tired but strangely enough I'm wide awake.

hiya wingo, I've not downloaded windows 10 yet
not going to either until it's all properly sorted,
my SIL did & had lots of problems & heard from
one of DH's sons & some friends that are not happy with it either,
though one of the men in our block mentioned to me the other day he was happy with it,
but i'm holding on a bit,
that's not good re your neighbour
& hope other neighbours bro can help sort it out for you all.

Good Morning,


Still a bit of snow lying and still waiting on our rain but sure it will appear soon as supposed to rain all day. Have shopping to get as haven't been out the last few days.
Just checked my Ramada account and the points for my iPad have been paid in so will be busy sorting out some hotel bookings and Amazon vouchers later! :j


Wingo that is terrible about your neighbour. Couldn't you have phoned the police? I know there are laws in Scotland about the noise level. It is one reason we tend not to go away on Saturday nights as so many drunks seem to come back and want to make a noise in their hotel rooms. Stopped going to the Canaries at Easter too as so much noise all over Easter weekend from the Spanish staying in hotels for the weekend. We are spoilt living in a detached house and although occasionally think of downsizing we can't put up with other peoples noise at night!


I have one laptop on Windows 8 and one on windows 10 and haven't noticed much difference really. I used them both the same way. I was advised to use 10 now though as the others wouldn't be supported so not as safe.

It's a wet weather day here

That has jogged my memory - yesterday luckily I
didn't have to eat my gardening hat cos there wasn't
even a hint of sun here in the afternoon! Phew!

I've not downloaded Windows 10 yet wingo - although
keep getting a blooming little thingy appearing in the
corner of my lappy screen telling me it's free. Aaaarrgghhh!

Not going to download it until I am sure it's safe and
not got any problems that I keep hearing about!

Shells great caravan bargain. September schools will be back and often the weather is much better than August. Great your points have come through.

Lo Sylvia about trying too loose weight. All chocolate gone here. Trouble is DH has a sweet tooth for puddings. We need to do some exercise again.

Hope snow and paths are clearing up for you FireFly.
