Morning all,


Snow nearly all melted although we never got the rain that was forecast for all day yesterday.
DD was at a Uni interview sort of thing yesterday and thinks it went OK. Her bf took her and they had a day out in Carlisle too. He had a compensation Sainsbury card from BT to spend and she had my Topshop card. She came back with a jacket from their sales anyway and still £8 left on card as there was blue cross sale on the sale goods and she got an extra 10% off with student card. Nice to see she is taking after me!

frost & light snow back here this morning,
foxes kept waking me up most of the night as it's
their breeding season & they don't half make a racket :eek::D

i'm quite happy with the OS I've got & will
wait a bit until they've sorted all the teething
troubles out

Morning suns out here but it's chilly.Know what you mean about the foxes FF.they are barking around here at 2ish.Hope they hurry up and find mates..lol. sounds like your DD is taking after you sheils,you taught her well.Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Brrrrr! There's a bit of a frost going on here at the mo but
it's nice and bright out - apparently we are going to have
sunshine throughout the day which will be lovely.

No problems at the moment with Windows 10. It's working
fine and I'm really pleased that I downloaded it now.

Afternoon everyone bit cold here still. Had a knock at the door just a short while ago. It was postie with a parcel. So thought to myself wonder what this is as I was not expecting anything. Unfortunately it was for a neighbour. So he is going to pop a card through her door to let her know where it is. Usually neighbours who I take parcels in for tell me about them and put a second address(mine) on the order form where available

Brilliant sunshine but cold here today.

We had a visit this morning from a young Madeiran who is studying in Lisbon. He has come to England for a few days to stay with his brother in Luton. He managed to find his way across London and came to us for breakfast! DH then drove us over to Greenwich and we did the tourist bit. Zero degrees in car.
It was sunny, cold and not many people about.
DD hates paying for parking and to stop in park and down by the river he spent £5.
We were surprised you now have to pay to go into the Observatory which always used to be free. They said government had withdrawn funding.
Anyway we didn't have much time as he had to get a train back to meet his brother from work at 1.30.

Sheils I hope DD finds and is accepted on a course she really wants. Great she takes after you.

Alfie hope your Windows continues to give you no problems. The new system on iPad means I have to keep logging in to MSE.

Rose when we came home Amazon had left a small box in our porch again. I'd ordered a small necklace for a future present for my sister. Lucky it was still there.

Just having a coffee. Feel a bit tired now. Too much fresh air so early in the morning.

Seems like you had a good day leanfun, although you had to pay for parking!

Spent the £100 we had from Cotton Traders today and managed to get some things in the sale so hope they OK when they came. It only cost me for the postage so nice win.

DH had a narrow escape today. He went out in the garden to put stuff in the Reyclcle bin and a piece of concrete fell off next doors chimney and landed about a yard from him. It was quite a hefty piece which spanned right across his hand so glad it didn't hit him.

Had a lovely roast beef salad for lunch but am starving now DH will probably have lost at the end of the week and I probably have put in on knowing my luck LOL.
