Received my Advent win with Gardening Express on Thursday. The email I received said I won a pair of Ladies Slippers Orchids complete with 2 pots, I received 1 single Ginseng Bonsai in pot. I am not complaining as it is lovely winning anything. I was just looking forward to receiving Orchids.
I have been so busy the last few days, went to a friends housewarming on Thursday night, went to shop in Aldi for first time Friday morning. We do not have one in N Ireland but they do have a few just over the border (only 10/15 minutes away). They have some lovely things and the prices are much cheaper. Because I paid in Sterling I made a bit of money on the Exchange. Treated myself to a few Euromillion tickets. No luck didn't have one number. Better luck next time.
Went out with my sister and friend last night. Roads were bad. The temperature was to drop to minus 5 during the night. I was expecting it to be bad today but it looks ok. I didn't venture out today.

Snow still lying but stopped falling. Not that heavy but as fallen on top of frost a bit worrying. Not gone outside today anyway!


Dreams I think the dream I had was probably to do with watching the gutters overflow rather than my emotions. Had so much rain before the snow! Everytime I find favourites in Aldi they seem to stop selling them which is annoying. Have stores about 30 miles away from us.


I am waiting on Casualty too Sylvia.

Wow you all seem to have it very very cold and snow.

DD2, SIL and GS were here for dinner but he fell asleep on way here. He's staying over so we can go to the film in the morning but I've said I'm not going if it's snowing.

Dreams you have been busy. Shame about your prize. We have an aldi near us. Yesterday we went shopping at Lidls and I bought some lamb. I'm normally very fussy about where I buy meat but this looked good and was in completely covered in fridge. We had it tonight and it was ok.

Agree with Sheils these stores change their stock quite frequently.

Dreams I thought I was getting a cold the other day and remembered you saying about Echinacea and found I had a jar of liquid. Two doses and all clear.

Wings sounds scary getting the car out of car park and whatever is going on I town. Pleased you all got home safely.

Aw I missed casualty tonight, DH had footie & then boxing on. Will have to catch up.

Dreams, I like lidl & Aldi for meat too and their salmon is quite cheap. I usually buy the gammon for soup as that's nice. We are quite lucky as we have every supermarket except waitrose around us. Shame about the orchid but glad you liked your prize anyway

I don't like the panel on the voice Sylvia so won't watch it now!

I found out that the protests were one against immigrants and another something about right wing (or was it left wing :think: ) so I can imagine they were expecting violence.

Everything still white here but rain forecast for this afternoon so hope the kids in the area get out to enjoy it this morning.
Has your snow stopped FF?
Don't expect we will get over the door today as would be too difficult to walk in all the snow and not that many cars have been using the road either as its the weekend.
