  • Morning! Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Everything just seems to be going wrong at work at the moment and I'm getting pretty much no support from my superiors, so I'm left holding down the fort by myself most of the time - doesn't help my anxiety!

Hope everyone has a lucky day and keeps warm! Sprinkling of snow outside here today, but nothing major.

No snow here at the moment just a bit of frozen snow left from the other day. GK's in Leeds have sent pics of the snowman they have built so must be some there.

Big hugs for you April, its very miserable when things are not right at work, hope you can get it sorted out soon.

Thanks for the link to the comp Sheils.

We shop every week at Lidl Dreams, they have offers which change weekly I think much the same as Aldi. Must admit we do shop around a lot as we have the time to do this. DH seems to know the prices of everything everywhere, he drives me mad sometimes LOL.

Cant me doing with all these protests going on Wingo, there is enough trouble going on in towns without them.

Hope you mange to get to the film leanfun.

Keeps meaning to get some of those grippers for my boots firefly, are they any good? DH usually takes his stick when there is ice about and I just cling on to him :)

Have a lovely day everyone, we have got a nice roast in the oven. DD and family are not coming to lunch today as they has some things she needs to do.

We have decided to start a diet tomorrow as we have both put on a few pounds over recent months and could do with getting it off. It just drops of DH when he starts whereas I find it really hard to get rid of the pounds.

    Have a lovely day everyone.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Will show you round if you win the comp Sylvia! The entry form wasn't showing earlier someone said. It would be a nice prize.
Trying to lose weight here too but can't get enthusiastic with this weather.

Haven't ventured out as pavements and road not been touched so wouldn't be easy to walk.
Have been busy though and booked a caravan at Weymouth in Sept!
Got a bargain as got top brand new caravan with 25% off as just 2 of us, so just £251 for a week. Would have been nearly that for 4 nights as don't get discount on 4 nights. Looking forward to it already. Just deciding what to add to it on way down and back. 11 years since we visited and really enjoyed it although did mainly kid things.

Hi everyone we are just back from taking GS home.

We made it to the film! Woke up to a thin layer of snow on some cars but pavements all clear. We took bus to station and then train to Charing Cross then a bus to a Regent street. DH decided which way we were going to the Ham Yard hotel. Led us right through Soho!

Found hotel after going right round in a circle. It was just off Piccadilly Circus a modern glass building. Cinema was in lower basement. It had two basement floors. They provided small Danish pastries, and lots of different cut up fruit, orange juice and coffee, which was very welcome. They had a woman making ballon shapes for the children and face painting. GS waited for a lion balloon but didn't want face painting.

Film was about 50 minutes and very good music. We had good seats in the middle three rows from front. GS said it was a shame his friend couldn't go as she likes Disney. strange name. The Lion Guard, the return of the roar. It's going to be on Disney TV in February.

Strange up town empty when we arrived, just a few tourists in cold on way home.

On way DH said on train I don't do Mornings!

    Cup of coffee due now.
