Happy St Andrew's Day everyone!


Still bucketing down here and set to continue till afternoon. Few more wet days to go I think. Will get my ironing done later I suppose.
DD going Xmas shopping as she has a day off for St A's Day. Her poor bf has had his bank account hacked and about a thousand pounds taken by someone using X-box account. Last week his account had his house deposit in it so could have been even worse. Everything has been going wrong for him lately.
Hope everyone has a lucky day and stays safe from this dreadful weather.

OMG! So sorry to hear the news of your DDs bf bank account
being hacked. :eek::eek:

Just so lucky it didn't happen last week when he had the
house deposit in the account but nevertheless ....... :(

Makes my blood boil - hope he recovers from this awful
episode in his life and things improve greatly for him.

Thanks Alfie. DDs BF got in bit of state over it as they left him with £20 and he has loads of bills to pay this week. He nearly didn't go to work but DD was going in too and made him as last thing he needed was losing more money. Hopefully bank will get it sorted out soon. They took something like 13 x £79 so should have been spotted I would have thought. Has someone else to phone after 8am today.
Hope DS1 makes ferry today as still 30 miles to go and weather even worse near Belfast I think!

That must have been a shock Wingo about DH's Sister getting married, was he upset that he wasn't there? Hope DD is feeling better today.

Hope your DS makes the ferry OK Sheils. That's bad the bank not noticing all those amounts. Hope they sort it soon.

Morning everyone. Weather has calmed down a bit here but still miserable dark and cold. Going to head out to shops after lunch (fingers crossed weather does not get worse) Shiels that is awfull about DD's bf hopefully bank can sort it out for him. Alfie not checked e/mails yet this morning but weekend was awfull. Hopefully it will calm down. Take care everyone and good luck with comps.

Thanks all.
DH just noticed some ridge tiles off next doors roof so is off to check ours and then go and tell them. So glad we had our trees cut down in the summer as I have never seen trees waving about in the wind as much as they did yesterday afternoon.

Roof seems to be OK (thank goodness) and DS1 at ferry so can relax and do a few comps now!
Been looking at a few advents. Anyone else?

yes, I've been going through advents & am slowly
adding/removing ones bit by bit
till hopefully I've got the few I really
want to concentrate on.
