Wings what a surprise about the wedding. You must all have been shocked.
As a Firefly says your DD did so well to compete. Hope she is better now. Pleased you are home safely.
Rose I hope weather is better soon for you to go shopping . Stocking sound great.
Well we made it to the Chrismas Food festival in the East end , Brick Lane. We saw one man older than us otherwise DH said they were all yuppies.
Brick Lane had a veg market and a covered market with loads of different stalls, there were shops, restaurants and wine bars. All packed.
Eventually we found the Food festival in an old Brewery. DH tried the cider offered as we went in and then tried loads of sweet samples!
We had a large roll stuffed with apple then rocket then piglet for lunch. We sat in the Chefs Theatre to drink a coffee then they had an extra demonstration, so we were in front row but when they said you could sample the food all the young ones moved so quickly there was no hope for us. Then one of the Master Chef runners up did a demonstration. He was Tony with the bow tie. Very good. We also saw Nadiiya from Bake Off demonstrating.
As we came out I bought a half price Italian cake for Christmas. We were very lucky re weather. It was very windy but only started to rain as we arrived back in our road. We would not have paid £18 each for the tickets we had but it was something completely different.
We've had some wine with dinner. DH said don't forget we have British Museum tomorrow.
3 for holidays sorry of weather is bad on your days off but wish you every good luck with your comping.
Everyone's dinner sounded great.0 -

Glad you got to go to the food festival leanfun and sounds like a good day out.
Looks like you have a busy week ahead!
The stocking are a good idea Rose :A I used to put them at the end of kids beds until they stopped going to sleep and waited for 'Santa' to fill their stockings! Now I just fill their stockings with sweets with their presents and I always have a pressie for them all to open after dinner.
DD is ok now thanks fire**flyI think it was more the travelling with her.
Yes it was a shock when SIL said she got married! I don't know what her kids thought of it, they have both left school now so must have been a shock!
The wind seems to have calmed a bit here now. I think we are expecting snow this week though.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Good Morning,
Happy St Andrew's Day everyone!
Still bucketing down here and set to continue till afternoon. Few more wet days to go I think. Will get my ironing done later I suppose.
DD going Xmas shopping as she has a day off for St A's Day. Her poor bf has had his bank account hacked and about a thousand pounds taken by someone using X-box account. Last week his account had his house deposit in it so could have been even worse. Everything has been going wrong for him lately.
Hope everyone has a lucky day and stays safe from this dreadful weather.
sheils x(This reminded me of your pic yesterday FF)

Good morning all!
It's still bloomin wet and windy here
although apparently later on "there may be some brief
brighter interludes in the south"! Yippee! Looking forward
to that!:rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously though, it seems as if some parts of the country
have been hit hard by the storm and there may be worse
to come so please stay safe all.
Great you and DH had a lovely time at the food festival
leanfun - have a wonderful time at the British Museum
today.
wingo - what a shock hearing on the phone that your SIL
has got married in Vegas! Must have been lovely for
them though, bet you'll be itching to see the photo's!
Glad your DD is feeling better now and well done to her
for competing in the gym comp. :T
sheils - so pleased your son decided to stay in Ireland due
to bad weather!
Love the Christmas Stocking idea rose! Hope the weather
is better for you today to get out and get some bits and
bobs to put in them.
Have a good day all whatever your plans and whatever
the weather in your neck of the woods.
Will be popping by later.
