Yesterday was such a glorious weather day ....



.... apparently today is going to be 'unsettled and
changeable'!

Up bright and early as we are off to Burnley today. Hopefully the weather will stay dry as we are meaning to walk quite a bit of the
Leeds & Liverpool Canal today. We walk to a certain place and then resume our next walk where we left off. We have to walk back to the car though so doing the same area twice. Haven't really done very much walking this week so will be nice.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. Will pop in this afternoon if I can when we are having a rest before going out for an Indian meal.

Morning all,
Had a lovely time walking Leeds Liverpool canal yesterday. Had a great Indian meal too. Shame it is raining now - supposed to dry up in afternoon. Slept in and had to rush to breakfast without having showers!

It's drizzly and miserable here too today! It was dark this morning too, hate it when it gets darker on mornings.

Alfie, I was having. Lovely sleep in my own bed last night until DH thought it would be a good idea to wake me up wearing one of the masks we bought from Blackpool!

I think it is just Mse that filters words fire**fly! I've never seen it anywhere else! I know on the tombola site you can't swear or mask swearing as in 'omfg' as the cm's come straight on to tell people off!

Have a good day at work indie. I'm only there 2 hours today Mind you...it's still so exhausting in those 2 hours as it's the lovely kids with the most complex disabilities and lots of biting, hair pulling, spitting, kicking etc! It must be a relief for their poor parents to have a break.

I've got lots of washing but can't get them dried out! Looks like I will have to get dryer back out but I can't put everything in it as it shrinks clothes.

Hi Sarah,


Walked from Hapton to Clayton le Moors and back on canal yesterday, then we ate at Aroma Spice so had a lovely day. Staying at Holiday Inn Express. Going shopping with vouchers and hoping rain goes off later.

Is the breakfast nice Sheils? The breakfast in our hotel was really good as you had a choice of full breakfast, smoked kippers, cereals, fruit, yogurts, pancakes and more. You could also have it all if you could manage it! I didn't like the rooms though, they were quite cramped and basic. Good bar area and karaoke and the bar lad was lovely and very friendly but the hotel itself was right past the tower and right next door to a best western hotel. The lights were very disappointing this year and the locals were saying they couldn't afford the lights much this year! I don't know why as it's always bustling in Blackpool!
