Thanks for that firefly, lovely pic. Will send it to my DD. Trouble is I think they are getting attached to it. Think she will let it go at her MIL as she has lives looking down on the valley with huge gardens so he would be happy there.

Funny story about hedgehog Sylvia. Never saw the one in our garden again. Had never heard of the Piece Hall before so had to google it. Never been to Halifax before but saw it on the Last Tango programme and decided to visit! Will keep an eye out for you. We are heading in to the centre on Monday - 3km walk according to Route Planner. Our hotel is next to a canal so hoping to explore there. Hope you have a lovely time too and the weather is kind to us. Heading to Burnley on Tuesday (bargain at Holiday Inn)

Hi Sheils, your walk sounds good. When you are in Halifax if you look up you will see a high road which is Queensbury which is where we are staying.

Went to local center this afternoon where they have a Niki discount store. Saw a lovely pair of trainers for walking which were shown as £49 with 30% off. I checked with the assistant as well. Decided to have them and they took them to the counter for me. When I got to the till the till lady asked for £49, when I told here they had 30% off she just reduced them to the correct amount. I commented "so what would have happened if the customer doesn't let you know about the discount?" She didn't answer just looked at me sheepish. This is how they make their money I think. You have to be hot on it.

Hope you have all had a lovely day.

Got to be careful in the shops Sylvia. The shorts I bought out of Marks last week had 2 prices on them and they tried to charge me the higher price too.

Oh that's bad Sheils. Just shows that you have to check everything. I never come out of the supermarket without checking my bill either. Have a lovely trip.

Sheils hope you have a great trip. Shame Peacehall is closed. That's the part I remember about Halifax.

Wow with the shopping. Very off putting. Good thing you were on the ball Sylvia.

This week while we were out I bought a new pair is sandals. A lot more than I wanted to spend at £39.99 reduced from £59.99 but they were the first ones I found that had leather uppers. In fact all leather by now in the heat we've had I'm desperate. lo what did the postman bring today. A freebie plaster for blisters!!!

Wingo well done on the goody bag win. Hope it was dust and not a cold.

Katie hope you are not too disappointed. As someone said on here you had fun with the entering. Keep on singing. Enjoy your Karaoke.
    Good luck everyone.

    Good morning Inners!

Hope you are all well on this 'splodge of light rain' morning! :)

Was a strange looking morning earlier but now sky is full of light cloud with
brightness over yonder so looks as if it will be another
    dry day later.

Back to hand watering the garden again! :D

Have a lovely break sheils - hope the weather is kind for
    you. :)

Loved the hoggy story sylv and the plaster for blister
    freebie leanfun! :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Will catch up with you all later ... just off to make another
    cup of coffee. :)
