Gettingtherequickly - I love the sound of Clas Ohlson, wish we had one down here!

I went to my local garden centre today (my favourite daytrip - I'm a very cheap date) and I noticed they've snuck a few crackers, Christmas cards and rolls of wrapping paper out! It's a Wyevale, so they may be doing the same in other branches too :)

Afternoon everyone, my BAB dinosaur just arrived, i went into a slight panic as i couldnt find the roar i was squeezing him in all the obvious places but nothing i was so disappointed then i felt something hard in the leg and it had slipped out of the foot, alls well i havent got a mute dinosaur :rotfl::rotfl:he is lovely i am really impressed how big he is, but i have decided it will be for Easter as i have enough for Thumper for christmas and birthday! I have just had Thumper for a couple of hours while DD2 went for an interview at the place DD1 works, she was so nervous and thinks it went 50/50 so we will wait and see.

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY that is a bargain 3 jars for 99p i will write it down thankyou. It makes a change to have great customer service, anywhere else would be, 'its not out yet come back when the christmas stuff comes out' we have one in Reading near us but i must admit i have never been in there :o

SPENDLESS oh what a start to your holiday you are having, hope everything just gets better and better now, although i have to confess it did make me giggle about what your son said haha

MRSMONEYPENNY i didnt realise it was BH this weekend until DD2 just asked what we were doing :o

MRSINVISIBLE haha this is still the LR one of my sisters was going to do it but let me down, and the paper has been sitting there all this time :(

I think I've subscribed to the thread so I don't miss out on anything from now on ☺ I'm saving my 2 pound coins at for a nice treat for us all before Xmas. I've already booked us a day at Gullivers when santa is there. Just hoping the snow stays away while we go!

Kiwi – thank you, I will keep my eyes peeled in our local poundland over the coming months. Sorry to hear (read) you have had a few rough months, however how lovely to have a new doggy in the house :D

MrsM – Festive reading can commence anytime, I have already read one :o and have read the free sample of the chocolate club one which was recommended on here (sorry I can’t remember who by) which I have enjoyed and will be downloading the full version.

I am just finishing up at work  it's been a long and busy day. Between cleaning 4 holiday cottages and getting the paperwork done for the trucks and then I've stopped later to do 11 sets of wages as I would normally do them Monday mornings but being bank holiday I decided to get them out the way tonight. Luckily OH is still working as he is off tomorrow on his stag do so cramming the Saturday jobs in to tonight, oh it's all go :D
I am going to have a cuppa and then crack in and paint the inside of 2 windows we had to have re-plastered a couple of weeks back.

There is currently 20% off at Emma Bridgewater until Monday at midnight and it will be applied at the checkout. I am wanting an EB mug for my SIL as she loves mine but I need to wait for the personalisation cost to be free again until I buy as the 20% doesn't make much difference with the postage :(

Right i'm off to paint and eat some food!!
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Oops been mia for a few days - reading but just not had much time to post (or much to say actually lol).

Welcome Haribo - sounds like you've found your spiritual home.

Newthrift, hope the stag 'do' goes ok. Can't believe how quickly the time is going. My neighbours are getting married tomorrow and it seemed such a long way away when they first mentioned it.

Free - glad the dino arrived and is 'entire' lol. I bought DGD a BaB honey girl (no I'd never heard of them either but apparently they're on tv). Bear was £21 - accessories added another £28!!!! Will be our last BaB visit for some time lol.

GTQ you do say the funniest things.

Babysitting for DGSs tonight - littlest one (20 months) is being a bit noisy but seems happy enough and isn't crying so will leave him in his cot. Fingers crossed he doesn't disturb his brother (3 year old). Providing DH is well we're going away for the weekend with my DSis and DBIL early in the morning (hence DH isn't with me tonight as he'll need to get an early night). Really need the break so keeping everything crossed he's ok. Feel some Christmas shopping coming on although I do seem to have bought a random selection of stuff so far - all very nice but not actually aimed at anyone!

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone. Only 17 Fridays until Christmas!!!!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

I know, I thought this on Wednesday! :( Such a shame, I'd come to quite like her! Also not too happy about the star baker this week... Again?! Really?!
  • Aaaaggggghhhhhh! While I was in Clintons yesterday, I spotted Frozen lunch bags which I knew the littlies in Egypt would love, especially as my uncle is going there this week, they had Princess Elsa, Olaf & Prince Hans. For some reason i decided not to get them. Then sent a message to their dad & he said yes please! Went in after work to pick them up, then discovered I had picked up Olaf instead of Prince Hans when I got home. Was there at 10 this morning, only to discover there were none left  What is it about trying to get Prince Hans for the poor child, can't get costume for him either.

On the plus side, went into Waterstones, picked up 3 books for nothing, thanks to a gift card I have had in my purse since Christmas! Then nipped into Boots as I had vouchers fo No7 stuff, they also had 3 for 2, so paid £23.50 for £45 worth of creams etc., so can't complain, £23 for £69 worth.

Going to Costco later, wonder what Christmas stuff they have in?:rotfl:

I'm sure they'll still be over the moon with the lunch boxes it amazes me how quickly the frozen stuff is still selling.I often find with disney that there are 1 or 2 characters that they do very little if any merchandise of

primark as starting to get xmas bits in saw a duvet set,a few red/cream fleeces & lots of candles
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
