My monies on Wednesday 13th January; or that's the date I've diaried anyways...


My local has loads of the various offers of the week deals left... Sanctuary, Joules, Soap & Glory etc... They had them at 70% off last year too; reckon a lot of peops have had enough of them or have cottoned on to the fact that they aren't as good a deal as they used to be.


For me personally; I'm holding out for the 70% sale for: S&G Reed Diffuser set, Sanctuary Reed Diffuser set, Cider & Lager sets, S&G & Sanctuary Cracker sets, a couple of men's gift sets; FCUK & Ted Baker. some nice candles & a few stocking fillers like socks etc...


It's not such a big deal if it goes before the sale, I don't need much this year; I know I always say that but I'm gonna try and resist! It's just buying for the sake of it!


Had hoped for a nice Orla Kiely set but don't reckon they'll be going 70% off (currently only at a third off with 500 bonus points when you buy two!)
Also wanted the boat shaped Woodwick Candles to go in the sale but not currently reduced; think they're just part of their usual home fragrance range.

16 Jan 2013 (Tue - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas) 3am live online
15 Jan 2014 (Wed - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas) 5am live online
14 Jan 2015 (thurs - 3th Wednesday after Christmas) 3.55am live online


The days in brackets indicate what day xmas was on, so if it's the 3rd weds that will make it the 20th jan. (of course that doesn't mean I wont be checking the website just after midnight on the 13th )

its too early for the proper sale (i don't count half price as their proper sale as it was 342 before xmas and now its half price but not 342).

I'm not entirely convinced it will be as late as 20th Jan 2016, even though it was 20th last time xmas day fell on a Friday. Wasn't 2010 the January that horrendous weather put back the sale for a week (I may have dreamed that of course).
Like Africat, I'll be online on 13th in the early am, checking out whats going on .

here is a quote from a previous Boots sale thread -

"Hi , in 2009 it was on Wednesday 14th January, and the 90% sale was 2 weeks later. In 2010 it was supposed to be on Wednesday 13th January, but because of bad weather, it was delayed until the 20th."

Thanks BalletShoes, that is interesting I think half the fun is the anticipation and guessing the date
