Popped into Cheltenham at the weekend and was surprised to see a stack of Union J stuff on the shelf. Bought a £2 perfume gift set for my granddaughter's birthday. She'll be 10 soon, so presumably the target age range0

The perfume sets are most def not down to 90% other than the ones that were last week. Been in today and they were half price that was it - the james bond set was £15 but that was it!:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0

I popped into the Boots store in Shrewsbury Town Centre and discovered LOTS of Union J perfume & shower gel sets reduced from £20 to just 50p.
So I bought a few for party presents and one for a little treat for me, thinking it would be okay for "office" days.
Just arrived home, opened my pack and had a quick squirt.
GIVE ME STRENGTH!!! It's absolutely VILE!
Like a cross between Germolene and car shampoo.
I've smelt better in Poundland!
If I'd spent the RRP of £20 on this rubbish, I'd take it back and ask for a full refund.
Union J- you should be ashamed of yourself for putting your name to this cr*p!0 -
Also saw a Beyonc! perfume set, reduced from £28 to £2.80.
Who buys these at full price?!
Once you open the packs and look at the contents it seems to me they are a rip-off at half their RRP.

I agree, the scent is revolting. I bought some for my daughter in the 90% sale when it was £2. After smelling it I felt I was ripped off even at that price and wouldn't pay 20p for it.0 -

I think it's a case of each to their own. I have to say I've given 2 of my sets as gifts already and they have been well received.
I myself am also using one for work and I quite like itI think it's a lovely fruity smell, certainly not like Germolene and carpet cleaner, And I am personally offended TBH at that description.
Ok if you don't like it fine, but no need for such strongly worded EXAGGERATED descriptions. Especially when there are plenty of people who have both bought.......... and LIKED the perfume.
Infact I personally feel that your post is very patronising and comes across as if you are making fun of those of us who like the perfume, and putting down those who have bought it.
To anyone who has bought this perfume and are concerned because of a exaggerated opinion IMO, please remember that everyone's taste is different.
Most little girls love fruity fragrances and appreciate the thought. I work in a school with over 400 children - 327 of them are girls. So I'd rather listen to their opinions TBH. At the end of the day they know what they're talking about apparently as we are told often when it comes to things like this lol
I'm now off to phone my local Boots store to see of they have any of these sets at 50p. If they do I'll be buying more of themPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
Was there any need for such a diatribe? The op's didn't like it gave their opinion and left it at that...maybe you could have done the same without an argumentative tone? JMHO.
