Boots Sale

the boots website drives me crazy if you search something and sort them price low to high, it just makes it up and puts them in any random order, not sure if its just me but i never got it ever to work,
I find the sort function hopeless too but then I have always had problems with the site. Most of the issues have been resolved over the years but not so long ago I used to have to call Customer Services after loading my basket so they could complete the order for me because buttons just would not respond after a certain stage. They said it was because I use a Mac. Do you?0 -
Previous Boots 75% / 70% sale start dates:
14 Jan 2009 (Thu - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
20 Jan 2010 (Fri - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
19 Jan 2011 (Sat - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
18 Jan 2012 (Sun - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
16 Jan 2013 (Tue - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
15 Jan 2014 (Wed - 3rd Wednesday after Christmas)
Hope all of my calculations above are correct. So looking pretty certain to start on 14th Jan this year unless they completely change things.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A
If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -
I hope the 70% sale is on the 14th as I booked the day off work on the 16th January 2014 LOL0

I've just had a message from Boots to say that my order won't be available to collect when promised 'due to a technical problem'.
Their IT just doesn't hack it, does it?0 -
Some perfume sets now further reduced to half price. Not the high end designer brands. More "celebrity" brands e.g Beyonce, Beckham.Union J, One Direction etc. Not everyone's taste I know but may be of interest to some on here.
Hope this helps.0 -
Sorry forgot to say on my post above - the day (Mon/Tue/Wed etc) listed after the sale dates are the day that the preseeding Christmas day was on.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

Their IT just doesn't hack it, does it?
And now it has appeared in an email as a mysterious 'replacement order'.
Ah, the good old days of Boots in total chaos.0 -

Dec 25th 2010 fell on a Saturday, so the following Wednesdays were
2010 Wed 29th Dec,
2011 Wed 5 Jan, Wed 12 Jan, Wed 19 Jan
Dec 25th 2011 fell on a Sunday so the following Wednesdays were
2011 Wed 28 Dec,
2012 Wed 4 Jan, Wed 11 Jan, Wed 18 Jan
So in both Jan 2011 and 2012 the 70/75% fell on the 4th Wednesday after Christmas.
If we go on the last time Christmas day fell on a Thursday from your chart,as it did for Christmas 2014, then the sale started on 14th Jan. Fingers crossed it will be that date as I'm off and working 21st!
Like I said my maths isn't great, so no offence taken if someone points out I've done it wrong.0 -
I was in my local store yesterday and there were HUGE piles of so much... Ted Baker sets (the one that was ootw), the large Jack Wills gym bag and tonnes more. I was a bit surprised to be honest, usually by week one of Jan the shelves are almost empty. I'll be there next Wednesday with fingers crossed ;-)You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
