i ordered online for the first time last year, admittedly not as soon as the sale went live, it was a couple of hours later - no bother at all, no glitches, a couple of things went from my basket when i checked out but i was still happy with the process.

I was in one of my local stores yesterday, loads of Jack Wills stuff, including 3 shelves of ladies gym bags - nobody seemed remotely interested.

and they'll want to get rid of everything and have the stores looking fresh for the spring season stock & Valentines Day / Mother's Day etc...

I know about Boots sale dates - my two children were born on 20th January and 16th January, and were both two weeks overdue - so trailing round boots two weeks overdue wasn't much fun lol!

Ha I thought I was th only one who went shopping at the boots sale overdue! My boy was born on 21st Jan, I always remember the sale bing the Wednesday before his birthday.... But this year his birthday is the Wednesday!

Maybe so but since they work there and had a fairly official looking document with them their guess might be better than Joe Bloggs would be.

I'm not saying their guess isn't right but it is still a guess. Stores have been told they will be given a maximum of 24 hrs notice of when it goes live but also to check their store updates at least every 30 mins throughout every trading hour as they could only get 1 hr notice.

I think Storck is the one to follow - seems like you have inside info. I think I'll assume it's going to be the 14th and turn up at my local at 8am which is when they usually open on 70% sale day. If it's closed then I know it'll be the week after. I've nothing to lose.....I'll just be at work extra early if it's not sale day!!

the boots website drives me crazy if you search something and sort them price low to high, it just makes it up and puts them in any random order, not sure if its just me but i never got it ever to work,

I have a feeling it will be next Wednesday - the 14th. Just going by my past order dates. Yes it isn't the 3rd Wednesday but I think that's just been a coincidence in past years. I don't remember the 70% sale being so late into January. I'm always able to get my sister-in-laws birthday present in the 75/70% sale.

I didn't have too much of a problem last year with my orders I don't think. And according to my boots account I ordered items in the sale over 4 days and out of those orders 2 items I ordered were cancelled.

Also according to my account ordered stuff in a 90% sale too in January :eek: Now I don't remember THAT but I live in hope this year as I seem to have been lucky last year :rotfl:
