What a gorgeously sunny day
The bees are buzzing and I have been relaxing in the garden soaking up the warmth.

Indie I love that you have made a list of clothes you need. I might give that a go.
Rose I'm Interested in hearing more about going sugar free. I really must cut down on sugar - I eat a healthy diet but supplement it with too much chocolate and cakes (my weakness). How do you stop craving it?
Rummer your description of head to toe Lycra made me chuckle. I think I might have to be cut out of it if I ever give that a go.
For my Fabbing I decided to move all my clothes down a level. My 'knocking about the house' stuff has become clothes to decorate my Mums bungalow in then binned. Going out casual clothes and nice jogging bottoms are for just being at home. I am wearing nicer things for work like my pretty White Stuff skirt and phase eight tops and getting complements. :j
I start a new yoga class in September so want to treat myself to some nice new yoga clothes - any suggestions?Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Hello everyone, hope your week has got off to a good start.
I ended up getting a pair of Tommy Hilfiger straight leg jeans in the outlet store. They cost more than I would usually spend even with over a third off the shop price, but they look very flattering and are a really nice soft denim and don’t seem to go too baggy at the knee in wear. I will see how they wash and so forth over time to decide if it’s worth the extra money compared to my usual M&S or Debenhams. I was just amazed I could even fit into them – think their sizing is rather generous. I started out trying on a 34 inch waist, half expecting not to be able to get them done up without creating a muffin top, and ended up buying 32 inch – 34 was loose.
Didn’t see any decent single breasted trench coats. There was a lovely smart one in Jaegar with a good discount, but double breasted, so I left it where it was – maybe if I get to the right weight for my height I will be able to carry that sort of thing off, but not yet. Also didn’t see any suitable smart trousers. Tried on a couple of work dresses in Hobbs, but though they fit, they didn’t spark joy so I left them where they were.
I did get some cheap shorts and cropped trousers in Mountain Warehouse for my upcoming hiking trips - was a bit short of ones that fit as the ones I wore last year were too loose now.
I hadn’t planned to go to M&S the next day, but I realised that I’ve been gradually doing my bras up tighter and hitching the straps up, but they were still looking a bit baggy at the top… finally dawned on me I’d probably gone down a bra size. One trip to M&S and I’d confirmed it – back into double DDs.
So, task for this week is to go through my bra drawer and try on everything and sort out the ones that aren’t giving me any support and dig out from the back the DDs I’d not been wearing for a while. I have a feeling I might have shrunk out of some pretty ones – resolution for the future – don’t save the pretty ones for best! I do have some tops that really need me to wear a plain t-shirt bra to avoid showing through, but plenty can work with something with a bit of decoration, especially now my tops aren’t as snug as they were.
Had a nice day out in the Cotswolds yesterday with the boyfriend, did a circular walk from Broadway village up to Broadway tower. Managed to resist having cake in the coffee shop afterwards, but I am not sure I deserve too many brownie point for that as I had a burger and fries in the pub at lunch before we set off! When we got back to his place we went out for another hour circular walk he’d found from his flat – within minutes we were out in the fields – not something you can do from my house.
Very early start this morning as he was going to a course a good drive away with friends, got home about forty five minutes ago. Feeling quite proud as usually after a long drive (it’s about 95-100 miles, and the last bit is across London so 15 miles takes an hour) I collapse into the sofa and don’t unpack for days, but I’ve already unpacked and got a load of washing on. Got my fitsteps class a bit later and am seeing the chiropodist this afternoon to get my feet ready for my bank holiday weekend hiking.
Have messed up and booked my Ocado delivery for 5-6 when my appointment is 4:30-5 – hopefully they will be able to deliver later on in the slot. Am only a 5 minute drive back from the chiropodist anyway.
Got some nice things to look forward to this week – going to see High Society at the Old Vic tomorrow and got a facial on Friday. Only home for eight nights too – back to the boyfriend’s next Wednesday and not home till after my hiking trip – so late on bank holiday Monday.
Have a good week all x0 -

I'm definitely going to make a list too:). I've really got into this Kondo lark and choosing wisely. I've kept some things pending replacing them so I know what sort of thing I need. High on the list is shoes/boots that I can walk distances in. Twice this week I've had to resort to my Sketchers again as it's been too cold for ballet pumps. I love them but they're getting old now. I've got proper walking boots but I mean something that's comfortable for a day's sightseeing.
Great idea about upgrading/downgrading the wardrobe items rowan. On checking, I have 7 pairs of jeans. The pair I'm wearing (got changed after being out this morning) are my oldest from M&S . If I ever had to do DIY or a messy bit of housework these are what I'd wear and unless they got ruined by paint then they'd wash fine. Then I've got tops from CS which are lovely but a bit old, mostly White Stuff and a couple of basic cardigans. After that everything is up to wearing to go out. The joy is that I have less clothes (probably still too many) but I enjoy them all. Well all the ones that have had the MK treatment. Still plenty to do.:o
Sounds like you had a great time in the Cotswolds indie and some good buys in Swindon. Life seems all go for you at the moment but all happy things. Just the break you needed.:)
Been out for coffee and a natter with a friend this morning so an opportunity to get fabbed up. Wore new skinny jeans with navy/white Boden top, scarf and silver ballet pumps. I like that outfit and wear it often. My friend, who's only a few years older than me, wore 'greige'.:(
Dull and chilly here. The sun tried to come out earlier but seems to have given up.0 -
I am keeping up the fabbing on week days with freshly washed and styled hair, skincare, makeup and perfume plus I have perfected my weekday wardrobe so no need to think.
Weekends are a bit more hit and miss. I only have 4 summer tops that I rotate with jeans and two dresses that I would wear only on really warm days so limited but they do make me happy.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Have been MIA from fabbing for a while due to RL but have a few days off work so am making the most of them. I've been taking Brewer's yeast as a supplement for a while as well as lecithin. Don't know which (if either) of them it is but suddenly my nails are growing like grass! And they're strong, which isn't normal for me. Definitely keeping this up.
Clothes wise - I've been Kondoing for a while now and, although still buy from CS, am being much more careful to get items that fit and flatter. BTW Maman - found a great pair of Karrimor shoes in the CS. I thought they just did boots and bags but these are amazing - good, robust sole and a nice comfortable fit. Have hardly had them off my feet since finding them - might be worth a look for you?Looking ahead0 -

Thanks for the tips.
My nails are the opposite at the moment, just not growing much at all. It's strange, I left off the shellac to give them a break. When I was wearing polish I could see the growth. I might give the supplements a go.0 -
Well I'm just have to come on here and brag.......
week 1 and Ive lost 6 and a bit lbs. I am so pleased to have finally cracked it. What's that old mantra .......
"Persistance pays off".........
I seem to have finally got my head in the right place this time. I think it's the thought of my holiday which is spurring me on.
I know the rate of loss will slow down but it's a good start and a fabulous confidence booster.
Went to IKEA. Didn't manage to find any suitable saucepans - looked like they were re organising that section because the displays were messy and many of the shelves looked rather bare, with just one or two items of ranges left. - I think their sale has just finished. I did buy a new omelette pan for now.
I also bought a new bedside light and that was about it. Still not sure about the sofa so will think about it. DS2 didn't go with me, he's off next week so I might have a mooch round the likes of DFS etc. and then we can go together and make a decision.
Had lunch there. Tried the gravulux salmon platter that you suggested Maman - delicious and very good value at £2.75. and of course very healthy - perfect for a Paleo meal.
Going to try and go back to sleep for a bit. Busy day today, lots of running about but hopefully will find time to look in a few chazzas....0
