Chanie well done with your mortgage plan.
Maman and SofarbehindI agree with you when it comes to fabbing. If a product makes me feel great, I enjoy using it and can afford it then I will have it. I usually buy Weleda products now which I love. used to buy Clarins or Clinique, and still do on the odd occasion.
LL the day in your garden sounded lovely. I'm hoping to finish fabbing our garden this weekend, I just have a wooden swing seat to paint and a bit of tidying to do. I love the blues and greens Of the paint paint and am going to have a go at making something out of driftwood and shells collected when we were in Norfolk.
Pirateyqueen that's a shame about the gym but hope you are enjoying being in a new office.
Susan well done keeping up with the face and hair fabbing, sounds like you have found products that are really working for you.
MissRare better late than neverWELCOME :j
I am enjoying being a little bit fab at work - making sure I match what I am wearing to a nice piece of jewellery, wearing some make up, perfume etc. When I was visiting a friend on Friday she was getting rid of some books so I bagged a pilates book and DVD set. Will give it a go on Friday when I have a day off. :T

MissRArr - when Marilyn Monroe was asked by a journalist what she wore to,sleep in she made headlines when she told him "Chanel No 5". So,you're in good company0 -

Have taken your advice about the fruit, maman, and have ordered extra carrots and celery with my grocery shop!
Glad you're feeling a bit brighter, lesson learned.
I opted for an Olay day cream with SPF in the end, which is half price in Tesco at the moment, but you're all so right about treating ourselves - I'll be bearing that in my mind when my favourite perfume runs out very soon!
Not much to report at present - very humid here so I've moisturised but haven't put make up on as my face gets a bit "glowy" if I put too much on it when the weather's like this:D
Hope you all have a good day x

Pirate I don't blame you for not wanting to go the gym. Could you move to a gym closer to work.
If I end up moving here then I will. I will have to see what happens! No more goo hoarding!

Bought the Kon Mari book yesterday and started reading having been inspired by this thread (on Kindle to avoid adding to the bookshelves!). Had never thought of folding clothes and putting them sideways in drawers - am sure would be much easier to find that way. I do keep things separated out into different types as she suggests, and even arrange my tops by colour to make it easier to find... but of course there are too many of them!
I've not done any house fabbing this week, but since Monday I've been running twice, done a dance fitness class, two yoga classes and two sessions with my personal trainer, so at least I've worked on my main goal of getting fitter and healthier. And I got complements on my new gym kit at the dance class - which I got from TK Maxx, so I guess that's sort of frugal?
This afternoon I have a massage, which is sort of indulgent, but also when I am exercising this much, helps to stop me getting too knotted up and injuring myself.
Going to the hairdressers tomorrow for a cut and colour. I suppose I should do the colour at home to be more frugal, but I've managed to make it last since April... When I get to the point I have enough grey to need to dye rather more often I'll start doing myself.
Am thinking of going for a bit of a change of style. It's a bit of a "blah" length at the moment - 2-3 inches beyond shoulder, so sits a bit untidily on my shoulders as it's not long enough to stay behind them. In many respects I'd like it longer, but am not going down the extensions route - far too pricey and high maintenance for me and will take a good six months to a year to get to the length I'd like.
I am thinking instead of of taking it to a couple of inches above the shoulder so it hangs better. Got to keep it long enough to tie back for exercise though, don't like having it getting in my face when I am running.0 -
sofarbehind I'm so sorry - meant to answer you about the Diet Coke and forgot to include it in my post!
I've not been buying it; I'm the only one who drinks it in the house and my family nag me to give it up saying it's not good for me!
I've been drinking sparkling water instead with a dash of lime in - for some reason when I'm really thirsty, I "need" something fizzy - I'm also drinking more Tea and Coffee; maybe I'm subconsciously replacing the caffeine.
But, as someone who really does drink far too much DC, I have to say that so far I don't miss it!0 -
Done full on skincare morning routine ( routine? I wish...) put on estee lauder daywear bb cream sample and went to grocery store. I really don't like this cream, i have it in 01 light and it looked burnt orange on me! So tossed it, at least didn't pay for it
took two makeup wipes to actually take the orangeness off!

And a huge thanks to lessonlearned! I've put on perfume this morning and i feel fab!
i didn't want to use it so much, because it's expensive but now i think it's worth it to feel this way everyday.
