Picked it up last night
Build quality feel quite nice and solid and not cheap.
Runs quite warm rather than hot but no more than expected for a 7200rpm hard drive, so thats good.
Easy to install.
Pretty quiet but then again the drive is a segate which are very good and quiet drives.
Probably also why it has a 3 year warranty as i think seagate are one of the few manufacturers now who offer this.
Can't speak for the transfer rates at the moment, as my drive is so full and badly fragmented.
Theoretical speeds are advertised as 15 mb/s or 900 meg a minute which isn't too bad.0 -

It says in the manual that you need mac 9x but recommend 10. Mac 9x and card reader wont work.

Pre, you could well manage to get one today, but it depends entirely upon where you are in the country. All I can suggest is that you give it a go.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

NTFS was introduced along with Windows NT (3 I think, so it's far from new). It stands for NT Filing System as far as I'm aware. It's more secure than FAT.0
