:xmastree: Christmas week starts here :xmastree:
Last full week before the big day - lots of flying to be done!
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Dusty for last week's thread
There are 3 levels per day to suit how much time you have to spare. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up.
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

[*]Bag up all the wrapping paper and put it outside!

[*]Don't forget to feed the pets!
Enjoy your day with your loved ones, spare a few minutes thought for those who cannot be with us this year and those who have lost loved ones.. I wish you all a happy, joyous, trouble-free fabulous New Year!! Without your support through the year.. I doubt I could have got through it xx

Gosh a new thread - I'd forgotten about the day/thread change and was busy replying to last week's!
Today more enjoyment than flying:
- fed/sorted out OH's horse
- went to carol service and was asked to read when I got there. Took ages to get out of church as lots of people were asking about OH which was nice. Flowers from last week's wedding still looking good.
- Had a bad night so got much of this evening's stew chopped and in slow cooker around 5am.
- mum & put up tree. Saving other lights and mantelpiece decorations just in case OH comes home, as he likes to do those.
- went to beamed in Nutcracker ballet and loved it
- visited OH in hospital
- planned buses and train times for tomorrow's visit to Albert Hall for Anton & Erin's Christmas special
- can't think of anything else but may do a bit of paper pile-sorting before I go to bed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Pain-free and healing vibes for you Natty. Thank you for the list, and Dusty for last week's. I'm in. The paperwork mountain has been drastically diminished by the virtue of stuff being 'filed and forgotton' or binned. Mostly the latter. If it's that important someone will let me know.Better is good enough.0

still no tree here though I have a few tidier rooms.. we are away to OH's mums next weekend providing no one is off their teats on goodness knows what.. so I have 3 days to wrap a warehouse worth of stuff, pack, sort Christmas dinner/day/26th and everything else thrown at me.. this isn't happening.. I'm a bit miffed.. it takes me 3-4 days to pack for 1 weekend for me and the girls.. and his rellies just can get in their car and come.. all they need are a few bits yet we have to trail there which is far more complex.. OH is utterly pee'd off with them all, I foresee a gleeful weekend ahead!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
