Have you reported them to the FCA? You must!!

No I haven't reported them........I'm just worried I guess of not knowing how to handle things as they progress.
I'd never have known what to do up to this point if it hadn't have been for everyone's advice on here.

Why would they continue to ignore my requests and fail to comply with consumer credit act if it's against the law for them to do so?

Because they have so many many many may duff agreements and debts on their hands that they cant afford to admit the truth to people. Theyve screwed up so badly in the past lending without having agreements in place for so many years that if they were admit it to a few people who post on sites like this it would soon create a deluge.

They would lose tens upon tens of millions and have their reputations shredded even more than it is.

Theyve been forced into this corner of extreme bluff and bullsheet and cant now back out.

If enough people complain to the FCA it will catch up with them in the end though. ;)
Still rolling rolling rolling...... :) <

Thanks andy. It's a much appreciated nudge and I completely agree!
Do you have any advice on how to go about reporting them to the fca, the procedures and how it works once a report has been made?

You just go to there website and fill in an online form, thats it.

You will not get any kind of outcome from it, as they dont investigate individual complaints, but when a sufficient number of complaints are received about a particular company, they can then launch an investigation into there business practices, so its important to lodge your complaint with them.

I have just pulled out the latest letter from the catalogue company to read through again and noticed a couple of discrepancies.
1 - The letter is addressed wrong, rather than use my own name here is as an example - If your name was Mrs Ann. M. Jones the letter is addressed Mrs M Jones.
2 - The letter reference reads; Request to cancel your credit agreement.(which is completely incorrect)

This doesn't change the fact that they have failed to comply with my request or me reporting them to the FCA but do these mistakes matter?

  • Hi

You have got to do 2 things to sort this out really:

    1) seriously cut down your spending
    2) Increase your income

Have you thought about getting rid of excess stuff to cash 4 clothes and similar organisations? They often take clothes, old bras, shoes, belts, bags etc and while the unit price isn't much -often 40p per kg, most peoplf have so much laying around that they never use that it's an easy £50 or more for them which they can then use to stock up the cupboards to make an extra debt payment etc.

I have done this and have advised a few people on here to do the same.
