Iffy uk cps windscreen ticket

Hi, newbie to forum scene.
Have had a good look around re U/K cps parking tickets and am fairly confident in how to proceed. Da_rules flow chart very useful. Do I follow it as if U/K cps are a small Co like JAS or P4P ?
The driver (TD) had parked one evening (dark) on a car park surrounded by other Local authority areas with available spaces. Xmas shopping was done at leisure. Two days later I see a very carefully placed (directly over the old tax disc holder) notice. It cant be seen when inside the car.
From what I see on forum its a std U/K cps £60 - £100 request for money. On opening ticket the carbon copy details are barely readable. I can only read them as I know and can see what they should be.
In the car details it looks like they have put the wrong coulor of car – understandable mistake given the coulor and surrounding lighting. Close scrutiny with a magnifyer would suggest the same. I would like to know 100%. Could I get U/K cps to confirm what was written on the ticket? Would this help me at all?
Have been back to see park and it isnt well lit at all. I do admit I wasnt paying too much notice to sineage as I thought it was a Council park I was entering. I parked with out a permit.
Thanks for any help or advice in advance

wait for the postal NTK to keeper, then challenge it using the template, dont worry too much over a T not being crossed, no dot on an i , or the colour of car etc
the NTK is what should be challenged here, by the RK
no you wont get a copy of this ticket, and no it wont help you at all, the NTK will come and be more legible, the NTK is what should be challanged with this PPC0 -

They are not 'small' as in JAS or P4P. So as per Redx, await the NtK.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi, we got a windscreen ticket from UKCPS, We waited for the NTK, it arrived, I copied out a brief appeal from this site, GPEOL, Signage, no authority etc.
They replied with a cancellation letter, good will gesture as a one off.
Nothing to worry about, just follow the advice on here.0 -

Thanks for reassurance.
I've found most abbreviations but what is "GPEOL"? - And when should I expect the NTK to arrive? - Before the 14 days? - I got the ticket on Friday. Or is the 14 day thing irrelevant cos I wont be paying.
thanks again0 -
GPEOL = genuine pre estimate of loss
Newbies thread on the first page of the forum by coupon mad explains all the acronyms.
Good luck0 -
"wait for the postal NTK"
ok thanks - so don't do anything until NTK arrives? Do they send them out automatically?
Sorry about needing the reassurance but this is new to me (the parking ticket thing) and I am something of a litigative nurd who always dots i's. Many a pound has been lost to me by big boys over trivia. He he - ask Capita.0 -

GPEOL - Genuine Pre-Estimate of Loss. The amount a PPC can claim, the amount to return them to the position they were in before the car parking 'contravention'. Which in a Free car park is ....... ?
NtK should arrive between days 29 and 56 after the parking event IF they are to claim Keeper Liability (KL). But UKCPS have recently joined the IPC (no longer a BPA member) so they may have changed tack on KL. You'll just need to see what comes through the post.
I advise you to take photographs of the signage urgently, as they may still be BPA signs. If they are, they may give you a slight chance if making an appeal to the IAS.
Lots of this is explained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky near the top of the forum index, one page back from here. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Ahhhhhhhh, just read para 6 in your walk thru. The main thing initialy concerning me is in there as well
"6. If it was a windscreen ticket, do not contact the PPC at this point, you must wait for the 'Notice to Keeper' (NtK) to arrive. This should be no sooner than 28 days after the incident and no later than 56 days after it. Theses dates are very important, and you must retain all tickets and letters you receive.
I was confusing this with everyones underlying recommendation not to ignore the windscreen ticket. Its the subsequent NtK and stuff thereafter you're saying not to ignore.
thanks again, I'm beginning to feel equipped0 -
nobody is telling you to ignore any ticket if its in england and wales
you should take note of it, take pics of the signage asap, gather your evidence, then take note of when you appeal to a PPC, why you wait if its necessary, what you wait for when its necessary (like an NTK invoice) and then choose your weapons and ammunition carefully to fire the best and correct broadside, at the correct time, according to the conceived best practice we can come up with , depending on who the PPC is and which ATA trade body they belong to
yes its complicated, but if it were simple then there would be little need for this forum
in the case of a windscreen ticket, you do not ignore it, but you dont necessarily ACT upon it either, save to start the evidence gathering nice and early and know what you are waiting for and why0
