What is beginning to get to me is why Abuse here are so (apparently) slow or unwilling to delete spammer users?

Thanks for reporting it - if it happens again and you see that someone else has already reported it there's no need to report it again if it's the same person - it just increases the team's workload.

Thanks Andrea - I was (politely I trust) making a more general point here. Many of the spammers that seem to have been reported as deliberate spammers over the last week or two appear to be having their posts/threads deleted when reported, but not their IDs deleted.

This appears to be creating more work for you and the BGs because they simply then come back and stick it all up again. Perhaps you could kindly pass the word around that they need to be deleted as well?
