  • Well I've been using anti-aging stuff since about age 19, used to use garnier or Nivea Q10, but I've been using Revitalift for about 10 years or more now. I discovered at one stage it was actually the wrong one in their range for my age but just stuck with it. I'd say my face is quite 'unlined'. I doubt anyone my age has no lines whatsoever, but I feel it has really helped me. It helps the elasticity so reduces damage. And I must admit I'm partial to sunbathing, and occasional sunbeds before winter holidays to get a base, so if the sun was the only culprit I'm sure I'd have fared worse. I don't smoke, and do believe that smoking is very ageing.

My hands and lower legs show my age much more as I've suffered from eczema in those areas and have had to use Betnovate over the years which is very ageing.

I'd say use anti-ageing cream as early as possible, I believe it works.

Yes, smoking is really ageing as well, thing is though no one thinks it makes them look good whilst a tan is considered attractive.
  • I'm 33 and use E45 cream and have done for years. I love it and it's cheap too!

    Apparently Cheryl Cole uses it!

In my 60s and have tried the Boots range, Perfect and Protect I think its called. Couldn't see it did much.

I am currently paranoid at an age spot on the back of my hand, I think they are so ageing. I have lots of freckles, not big dark ones but lots of litte gold cooured ones but suddenly noticed the large dark mark on my hand. I have been putting lemon juice on it and using Dove hand cream, it says it does correct dark spots. I am amazed at the result, in a month it is smaler and lighter. I looks like it is going to divide into two as the is a line down the middle which is almost normal skin colour. I guess this means these products do something.

By the way if anyone has any brilliant ideas about how to encourage the age spot to disappear I would love to know.

I am lucky as the skin on my face is in pretty good nick,. no wrinkles. I wish my neck and hands matched.

Right, I am a convert. A £2 handcream and a spot of lemon juice and the horrible age spot has almost gone. It is about 40% of the size it was and significantly lighter, now blends in well with my little freckles. It is still a bit bigger but the colour matches.

I have also got the benefit of my skin looking much better, the crepey look has improved, it was interesting as I was concentrating on the hand with the age spot and suddenly realised my hands no longer looked like a pair so I had to start working on the other hand.

If a £2 handcream can do this I wonder if I should investigate something for my neck? Any ideas welcome.

  • I started using anti-aging cream in my early twenties. I read somewhere that this is a good time to start protecting the skin before wrinkles and sun spots appear due to sun exposure. I simply use drugstore anti-aging creams. Hopefully, they work.

Someone told me that when you reach the age of 25 that is when you can use the anti ageing, I dont know why!

I haven't use one... I still love my skin at my age 29 haven't used any anti ageing cream!

Your skin starts losing elasticity and begins the ageing process at a round age 25!

There is probably more to it but my mind is shocking at the moment. I studied Beauty Therapy at college and that is what I learned.

I'll be of that age next year and admittedly I'm the worst at keeping up with a skincare routine.
