What age did you start using ant-ageing creams?

Never used one. I'm 58 and don't have wrinkles or lines.
Not being smug here because I'm grim in many other respects, but I stopped smoking in my early twenties, burn if I'm outside for more than ten minutes and I'm an absolute porker !
So no exposure to sun, and the fat fills out the wrinkles ...
Honestly when I had a few quid spare I spent money on big name 'quality' products Eve Lom etc., Now I'm on Superdrug own brand and it seems just fine to me.
Genetics and sun damage are probably the answer to why we look a certain way, frankly I'm long past thinking a pot of gunk for £80 will make me be the woman of anyone's dreams !0 -
I started using creams in my early twenties and in late twenties I started adding a serum, I had some marks from spots and sun damage which I have had a course of medical microdermabrasion. I cleanse my skin twice a day.
I have often been told I look younger than my age so I believe looking after your skin does work.0 -
I have never used them, for any length of time. The reason being, the anti-ageing ingredients tend to be either a sunscreen (which blocks the pores and brings me out in spots) or some sort of chemical which claims to fill/smoothe the skin overnight (which also wreaks havoc with my skin for some reason
)
Some say these expensive anti-ageing creams are no better than a moisturiser or sunscreen, anyway.0 -
OMG! I slap on some Nivea, or bio oil... only because I am old and my skin is so dry,,, but seriously, your skin will dry out, you will get wrinkles, you will get old, (if you are lucky!) its a lot to do with your genes! Most expensive face creams a just a big con imo!!

What a lovely comment, thank you, we should all do more of that !0 -
I am a black woman so I've always used it - only we just called it 'cream', not moisturiser. I have distinct memories of being 7 or 8 and along with the other black children, trying to explain to teachers (often in vain) why we had to put cream on our skin (especially our faces) after swimming lessons.0

I am 60 and haven't started yet! I am lucky in a way because I have very greasy skin so barely any wrinkles or lines (most people think I am quite a bit younger than I am).The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

Same as Sulkisu, I have been using it since day one. I cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily. Not anti-aging cream as such, I don't believe they work. I use Astral. I used to use Cocoa Butter but found it left me with a burning sensation on my skin.0

This made me laugh and brought back a few memories too - like trying to explain why I couldn't go swimming when I forgot my swimming hat - "no Miss, I can't just dry it with a towel afterwards!!!!". Another one here who has used it since day one - and who has just finished coating my two little ones in cocoa butter after their baths.0 -
Never used them, waste of money.
I've always moisturised though, just cheapish creams like Nivea or Simple.0
