What age did you start using ant-ageing creams?

Indeed, complete waste of money. If you want to look after your skin, don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, wear full protection cream. Eat healthily and drink plenty and blame the rest on the genes!
I have never put any fancy cream on my face, yet at 45 have almost no wrinkles. I am mostly lucky thanks to good genes (in that respect, not as much with the white hair!), but also did help with all the above.0 -
I dont use anti ageing creams, never have and Im in my mid 40s.
Botox is not only a ridiculous product in my opinion but its animal tested, don't agree with anything suffering so that women can look less wrinkly.0 -
The only thing that can really help is (as many have already said) wearing SPF, not smoking and genetics. I've work SPF50 sunscreen every day since I was about 14 (now almost 28) after my dad had skin cancer (the first time round). I cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day also but the products I use aren't particularly aimed at anti-aging, more at keeping my skin clear of acne.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

But it does work and I have seen the proof, links or not, stopping the muscles from moving in a continual pattern will stop wrinkles forming because of this, simples0 -
I am 40 and have used moisturiser since I was a little girl, used Ponds then and the smell still reminds me of my childhood along with Lux soap
i now cleanse my face with coconut or olive oil, I then moisturise with Aveeno oil cream in the pump in the morning and coconut oil at night. I also use coconut oil on my body after my shower. I have decent skin for my age as people think I am younger0 -
In my 60s and have tried the Boots range, Perfect and Protect I think its called. Couldn't see it did much.
I am currently paranoid at an age spot on the back of my hand, I think they are so ageing. I have lots of freckles, not big dark ones but lots of litte gold cooured ones but suddenly noticed the large dark mark on my hand. I have been putting lemon juice on it and using Dove hand cream, it says it does correct dark spots. I am amazed at the result, in a month it is smaler and lighter. I looks like it is going to divide into two as the is a line down the middle which is almost normal skin colour. I guess this means these products do something.
By the way if anyone has any brilliant ideas about how to encourage the age spot to disappear I would love to know.
I am lucky as the skin on my face is in pretty good nick,. no wrinkles. I wish my neck and hands matched.Sell £1500

Sorry. Other studies show it speeds up the ageing later on. It's bloody ridiculous to recommend it to anybody.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I'm 27 and haven't even thought about anti ageing creams. I worked with someone a while ago who started using anti ageing creams when she was 19!
I just use a regular OLAY moisturiser which has SPF15 in. I use that every day, it's less than a tenner and is regularly on offer. My skin has no sign of ageing yet, as in wrinkles or crows feet. I do have dark circles though, but that just could be me being tired!0 -

I think starting with the Number 7 creams for your age range is ideal and I would consider, money allowing , investing in the night and eye cream too.
Have a look online and see what sets of No7 are in Boots Christmas range as they can work out cheaper all bought together, also Boots do online only bundles of skincare
HTH
I've ordered their offer at the moment, the box of 10 items which comes to £37 and include the day and night cream, which those 2 alone would come to £44 (very MSE!!)0 -

What works works, that's it, it was a suggestion of a product that gets rid of or helps to prevent wrinkles rather than spending loads of money over the years on creams etc that only ever help superficially, take it or leave it its anyone's choice and plenty of people choose to go down the Botox etc route with excellent long term results including me so I am happy to recommend this procedure, there really is no need to be rude because you don't agree with what I have said, that's bloody ridiculous.0
