Thanks everyone for replying to this. I have perused the threads mentioned above, and one thing kinda jumps out at me - the fact that none of the cashbacks are guaranteed. My concern on this is for example, you go through quidco for a product, which is slightly dearer than you could get elsewhere, but then you don't end up getting the cashback, and so end up out of pocket. Does this happen much? Am i just being over-cautious?? Any opinions welcomed......

Suggest you follow Martin's advice which is to check the various competitive sites eg Kelkoo (10p just for doing that), then choose who you want to buy from, clear your cookies and go through Quidco to the merchant. Nothing is more expensive as you go through to the same merchant's site as you would anyway. Hence the 'free' money, and tax-free of course. It's a great site, just ensure you choose a small amount of money eg £10 or £15 or something as your minimum payout.

Quidco is great. I am just about to get my first payment (£55) that I have been aquiring since Febuary, I didn't add any bank details till recently on purpose because I wanted the extra money for my holidays :)

I haven't bought anything online that I wouldn't have done normally and always shopped around first to get the best price so its been money for nothing virtually apart from about £10 of daily clicks which don't require any real effort and no outlay.

I also had fun entering their birthday video comp and get a Amazon gert cert just for entering.

I have only had one thing that didn't track, £25 from Powergen for switching, I put in an enquiry but its come back unsucessful - never mind though - I still win by switching and saving money that way.

Quidco is very much a longer term thing, theres no instant pay out but if you use it regualy and do the daily clicks you can get a modest amount every month.

    Every little helps!

That's the way I look at it too. It's not going to be able to buy me a house, but it will enable me to have some money put by that I otherwise wouldn't have had. I've got a broadband connection, so a few extra clicks here & there each day costs me nothing & earns me some pence, which over the month does add up. For me, the biggest amounts however come from actually spending some money, so those shopping 'trips' will boost the amount of cashback I get considerably. :)

One quick questions when do they pay the money into your account? I'm new to Quidco. Thanks. It is worth it though. £35 for signing up to a credit card!

  • When you log in click the earnings tab - that will show you how much you've earned. Then click on the payments tab and it will show you when payment is due. July's has been processed so will be in any day.

I've had 7 queries of which 2 were successful, 2 rejected and the others outstanding. If you're using for the first time do a Kelkoo or similar search to ensure you're tracking properly.

In 14 months I've received over £600 with another £180 to come - even 1% off trainline adds up.

I joined Quidco more or less when it first started back in 2005 and have had over £1100 back so far with another £220 scheduled for an August payout. It has been a marvellous experience for me as was quoted £156 for my car insurance and will receive £120 back through Screentrade so very happy indeed!

Quoted £181 via Prudential for hubbys car and will receive another £100 in August for that also :)

Even if you only use it for things you have no choice in buying (car/house/life insurance) then its a win win situation.

DON'T USE BARCLAYS. Used Quidco loads of times and Barclays is the only one that doesn't pay, i'm not the only one, just read the forums. If you do, cancel the contract in the 7 day cooling off period if its not tracked. I'm still chasing it 9 months later.

I joined Quidco in November last year and so far have £503 in my total earnings. I was reluctant to join as I was sure there was a catch, but there genuinely doesn't seem to be one. Their customer service is fab, too, if you ever have a query.

I've had £426 back so far by changing car and home isnurance - plus little bits and pieces bought on line

with another £264 in the pot waiting for payment , I have set the minimum withdrawal really high so that it wont get paid automatically , then when I have enough for something i want , I will change the minimum withdrawal amount and use the money

Even if its less than a hundred quid a year definitly better off in your pocket
